Guys, I'm already sick of all the Trump shit. You literally can't go anywhere without reading or hearing about Trump and people have lost their ever flippin minds over him. I have gotten off Facebook,Twitter, and Instagram because it is just too much. I'm not a fan of Trump's, but I don't think he's the next coming of Hitler, especially considering some of the things he has done are exactly what Obama did and no one had a problem with it then. Obama supported a fence along the border, no one had a problem with it. Obama also had a temporary ban, just like Trump's 90 day ban, from countries in the Middle East. I know this because my boss at the time was in the Middle East and got caught up in in. He had to stay there for almost a week while things got sorted out and he is an American, not a visa holder. Obama also got rid of the political asylum program from Cuba (wet foot, dry foot) that has been in place for decades just before leaving office (which is how several of my family members got here). Not a peep out of anyone. Trump's Supreme Court pick was confirmed unanimously in 2006 when he was appointed to the Appeals Court. All Democrats voted for him, including Obama. So I don't think he's some fascist, nazi, brownshirt either. But you literally can't reason with some people when it comes to Trump. They believe every horrible thing that is said about him, even though most of it is not true. (there was no 5 year old handcuffed at the airport, the dude who said his mom died trying to get back in the US was lying, Melania will be moving into the White House, etc). The dude says enough legitimate stupid stuff from people to complain about I dont' get why all these false things keep popping up. Also, I have been shocked at the lack of knowledge some have on how our government works. The president doesn't have the level of power a lot people think he does. The Constitution purposely restrains his power. There are two other branches of the government who have just as much power. If Trump starts doing illegal stuff, the other two branches can step in and stop him. So Trump can't turn the US into a Nazi state even if he wanted to, just like Obama couldn't either. I know people who were upset when Obama was elected but it was nothing like what is going on now. Republicans survived Obama and Democrats will survive Trump. But can we lay off the Trump talk? It's one of the reasons I have enjoyed coming here the last couple of weeks. It is one of the few places that had been Trump free.

As a voting American I am thrilled that this is the second song EMs done, before and after Trump got elected, where EM puts The Donald down! Politically, I'm so glad EM is on the same wavelength as me! Yup. It's funny how Em is a democrate. People who are not big fans of him might think he is actually pro Trump (before the diss) since he was portrayed as an uneducated angry white man, misogynist, homophobic, etc. well mostly in the beginning. He's also name dropping Michel'le. I guess it was already talked about somewhere on this board but I wonder what he thought about the movie and Dre... I know he is not really personnally close to Dre but wonder if he ever knew about it. Yeah Em has always leaned left. Paul also seems to despise trump as well according to his tweets. Also I think its kind of brave of him for speaking out. Im sure EM does have a lot of republican fans who are trump supporters. Artists like Taylor Swift who have fans that are both democratic and republican usually keep their mouth shut during a time like this to not upset fans. But I am glad Em doesnt care and speaks his mind.

It's one of the reasons I have enjoyed coming here the last couple of weeks. It is one of the few places that had been Trump free. I agree the media over saturation of Trump is ridiculous but I also think Trump is literally crazy, like he is deeply mentally ill and obsessed with ratings and being popular. He called himself ratings machine DJT for gods sake. Talked about Apprentice ratings at a National Prayer Breakfast. Claims based on nothing that he actually did win the popular vote. Says despite all evidence to the contrary his inauguration was the most attended inauguration in history. People are still looking at the presidency in this tit for tat way, like dems to this and repubs do that and it's all the same. To me it's this person is CRAZY and is going to kill us because he is too erratic to be trusted around nuclear capable superpowers. So, I'm glad Em is calling him out. I miss songs like Mosh.

I also think Trump is mentally ill. I got anxiety when the muslim ban happened. Couldn't sleep, I felt like something bad was going to happen to my americans friends, that there's going to be a rise of radicalisation in the country. And then the next day there was a terrorist attack in my country (Quebec city)! Crazy how instinct knows things before you sometimes... anyway I think 2017 is going to be a hard year for the world.
But I agree that we should stay on Eminem's topic here... Why Em is always so late on pop culture lol? (Fergie) he is such a soccer dad now lol! I feel like a teen who's embarrassed by her father. "Dad that's not cool anymore... you're late..." With the internet, everything is going so fast! There's a new joke everyday. That makes me think back of his "yes man" like why can't Royce tell him that. I'm sure he thinks Em's lame with his old jokes since he is on active on social media (a.k.a. Living in 2017) Em still lives in the 90s when a joke would be around for 2 years!

He does seem like a stubborn middle aged dad in some ways, talking about how he still looks up things in the encyclopedia and wtf is an iPod. I bet he still makes 90s jokes--like says something sarcastically and then says "...NOT!" like Wayne's World. I think it's funny that he has one of the most followed twitter accounts in the world and he openly despises twitter. Sometimes the "I'm just an average guy from the D" shtick seems fake because he has been a millionaire for more years than he was broke at this point. But I do think he embarrasses his kids with his lameness and I love it.

I think his kids, who are adults themselves at this point probably love the fact that he was able to secure them financially while leaving them a choice to either benefit from his brand one day in showbiz or not. The same thing can't be said about the other rappers on his level, Jay-z and Kanye who've been continuously exploiting their kids with the photoshoots, clothing lines and appearances, dressing them in ridiculous clothes, giving them ridiculous names so they could continue to create an illusion of how cool they are when in reality the whole world only laughs at the reality shows that are their lives. What makes Eminem so cool is that he simply is cool. He doesn't have to follow the trends and be active on FB or Twitter. FB and Twitter follow him like he's the coolest thing out there. Maybe he still makes 90's jokes but millennials quote his jokes making them the jokes of their generation. There's something about him that doesn't make him look or sound like a middle aged man dad even though he has grown up kids and I think that thing is the reason why he continues to be so popular especially within the young generation.

We don't disagree. I just think part of his coolness is being a nerd in his 40s who makes dated jokes AND a badass with charisma enough to fill stadiums. Also LUDKA IS IT REALLY YOU?! Welcome back!

I really liked the first part with the flow that really took off after the Fergie line. It was awesome until the Patriots jersey line with the jarring halt. Then the lyrics became nonsensical with his lists of random objects and the political disses which had nothing to do with the theme of the song. It's like he started his verse and then got lazy and decided to raid his vault for something he could use to make it longer. And all he wanted to part with was the leftovers from Campaign Speech, Lol. Not Em's finest work and was wayyyyy overhyped. If he'd just kept going with the same flow and theme as he'd started off with, the whole verse would've been fire. Big Sean's lyrics were far better. But even with all the stupid nonsense in his, Em still won with his delivery. I dunno what to tell you guys, Lol. I give the song maybe 7/10.
Edit: Just finished reading everyone else's commentary. I have to agree that Em is a nerdy 44-year old, stubbornly stuck in his ways with the corniest jokes and punchlines... but still manages to be infinitely charming, relatable, lovable, mischievous, young at heart and clever at the same time. Just another example of how Em is the ultimate example of a study in contradictions.

i was thinking about this today I get that Em doesnt actually hate women but I do wish he would chill out. idk if its because I am getting older or what but the women hate is getting a tad bit old especially in 2017. I know he just rhymes to shock and because supposedly names rhyme with his thought patterns but yeah...it kind of makes me roll my eyes more and more these days. Like grow a little dude. No one is even shocked about these lyrics anymore. Its just kind of lame and sexist despite how much he denies it. I really want some music where he doesnt list off ways of murdering people and spitting out hateful shit just to spit it out. I want something with substance... I wonder if he could make one album without calling anyone out and just focus on himself or injustices that are happening in the world...or would that be too hard because he spends his days watching the Wire...? lol (sorry not trying to be a debbie downer lol I was just thinking about Em's content today and this tweet reminded me of it. I mean lets be real i will drop everything I'm doing when his new album comes out... but im just kind of sick of the sexist stuff lately).

Couldn't agree with you more, matty! Living a very insular life, and seemingly not having a big social one which would include a full time girlfriend, and I would like to think there is someone in his life, but probably not a "steady" as I see EM having a gaggle of available chippies to stroke his fragile ego, there is no way he is going to grow verbally in his flows. He's semi-stuck and surrounds himself with sycophants. That's why when we hear snippets of outsiders, like Just Blaze, giving their take on working with EM one has to think it's grow up time and EMzy needs to get a life. A real life; to take a walk on the wild side and get out of his comfort zone.

Yeah I worry that he is going to end up in weirdo territory if he doesnt break out of his routine sooner rather than later. He already has weird traits going on lol
