I liked it. Especially the beginning of Em's verse. But I feel like it was a little too hyped. I just don't like the pauses he continues to do. I guess it's a pet peeve of mine
But I love the trump and Anne coulter disses. And his flow/voice is awesome at the beginning.
Now I want his album haha

I really like it. I thought the Campaign Speech-esque flow fit the song, but I understand the desire for the TES era flow. I would post a youtube link but every thing seems to get taken down quickly. It's not hard to find tho it you wanna listen.
Currently climbing the itunes charts.

I don't like it. Maybe it will grow on me. Don't like his flow. I guess I'm one of those that prefers the TES era flow. And what is with his outdated pop culture references? Jamie Lee Curtis? Come on, Em.
But just on first listen? Meh.

Eh I think it's alright but it didn't make much of an impression on me either way. I guess it helps that I fucking hate when people get hypey and speculative about new releases from artists so i just IGNORE what everyone is saying because I'm ridiculously fussy anyway. I'm a bit sick of the whole "listing assorted weapons to maim people with" schtick that there's been a lot of since that "syringe orange ironing board etc" line in Brainless. What's bothering me the most though is the empty silent pausey bits, Em's already got a very distinctively spiky voice (which i love of course!) But these pauses just mean he's zigzagging about uncomfortably over the beat rather than riding it, but that's just my opinion
Nothing new for current Em but generally I find (especially recently) his verses on other people's songs don't reflect what he does in his own, so I'm not expecting this to be what the new album (if we're getting it any time soon) will sound like
It's strange, event though I didn't care for the verse much I was still smiling while I listened. Eminem always makes me smile

Same ole, same ole except for the different tone/demeanor in EMs voice when he starts his harangue. I hope that when EM does release his next masterpiece he comes in with a different take and surprises us. I wasn't all that impressed with MM LP2... Though I loved "Rap God!" I don't think EMs evolving, just kinda going through the motions, kinda getting stale somewhat. And predictable which is not good for any megastar's career. EM needs a real shot of adrenaline and he needs to hit the road and tour so he stays relevant!

I really hope his next album goes in a complete diff direction because I think he needs to find more inspiration. I don't want him to become predictable or generic I miss actual songs from him. But I'm sure he will deliver with his next album He usually does |

Yup! If you remember old alessandra than you know I agree with matty and GG102 lol I guess I kind of like it compare to his other recent stuff. I love his deep voice and "calmness". I am not a big fan of the stopping neither but it doesn't bother me as much as the "starting slow/low pitch voice flow and fast/high pitch when at the punch line" kind of thing he is doing. He's been doing that for a while, or is it just me. |

You are correct, alessandra, EMs been doing that "punch line" thing for a while...He's annunciating, like putting an "explanation point" at the end of a sentence. It's getting predictable. |

People who are not big fans of him might think he is actually pro Trump (before the diss) since he was portrayed as an uneducated angry white man, misogynist, homophobic, etc. well mostly in the beginning. He's also name dropping Michel'le. I guess it was already talked about somewhere on this board but I wonder what he thought about the movie and Dre... I know he is not really personnally close to Dre but wonder if he ever knew about it. |
