You very clearly implied it to me because I'm the only one speaking something against it. What if I gave you research that contradicts these researches? Who would be right? What if I told you again that the same CDC we've mentioned paid over billion dollars to people damaged from the vaccines? And why doesn't your dad trust pharmacists that are trying to sell him something but trusts them when they're trying to sell him vaccines? Dude my last post was directed at Royce I was eluding to his platform. Hence me mentioning his point of view prior to the damn statement. U ain’t my pharmacist so with all due respect I don’t care what u think. I believe the cdc, my doctor, my dad who was published in many research journals and my own research. I also care when Royce runs around telling his fans not to get vaccinate because it’s harmful. Celebs should keep their mouths shut about this shit. I get WHY he might be hesitate but to use his platform right now to portray anti vaxx ideals is HARMFUL because ppl are dying especially with the variant now leave me alone. All I did was answer a question. I agree celebs shouldn't push anyone to do or not do anything. The same goes for politics.

Even though I wanted to stop commenting on this because everyone has a different point of view, I can't help but feel called out because you mentioned people who are against the MSM and I said that I don't rely on them. So I wanted to respond. I'm not from the US and I don't really care about your political scene. I was talking about what I was taught in college, what I learned from books and what my professors taught me. And what's the experience in my country when it comes to vaccines. I also wanted to defend Royce's point of view when it comes to his child because he has the full right to think it's got something to do with the vaccines, especially because he's the parent and he's the one who could notice when something went wrong first. And as I said, it's not crazy to think that. In my country, autism and SIDS are listed as adverse effects of vaccines. But to each their own, you decide what you want to do. So again, this has got nothing to do with Trump or left/right paradigm because they're all the same to me, pretending to be against each other just to cause division when in reality they all work together behind the scenes. It's just unfortunate people in the US can't see it.

Why is it not ok to push people not to get the shot but it's okay when people push their political views on others, no matter if it's left, right or the third party? Why can't celebs leave people alone to make their own decisions?

Okay, I don't want to stir things up when it comes to vaccines but I just want to explain something when it comes to autism and vaccines. Before I start, I just want to point out that I'm a pharmacist and that I have a medical background. I don't like Royce at all but him thinking his child got autism from the vax isn't so far from the truth. Here's the thing: when you receive a vax, your body starts producing antibodies against this virus or bacteria. The ability of the virus or the bacteria (that the vaccine contains) to stimulate the production of antibodies is called antigenic effect. Now, this antigenic effect can be too strong and can cause the body to produce too many antibodies which can lead to your antibodies attacking your own body. This is called autoimmune disease. So, since we don't want this to happen, we add aluminum-hydroxide to reduce the production of antibodies to a normal amount. We also use aluminum-stearate in the antivirus vaccines. Of course, this is done with best intentions. However, what a lot people don't know is that this aluminum has a tendency to accumulate in the brain. Accumulation of aluminum in the brain can lead to dialytic encephalitis and dialytic dementia (Alzheimer's eventually). This dialytic encephalitis can actually lead to autism and this is no secret. CDC even has VAERS, you can search it up, that contains information about the harmful effects/adverse effects of vaccines and pays compensations to people whose children (or themselves) have been damaged by the vaccines. Of course, this doesn't mean that you shouldn't vaccinate, you have the full right to decide what you want to do with your body. But people shouldn't be clowned for doubting the effects of vaccines. I know there have been many "researches" and articles that vaccines don't cause autism, I personally don't believe that because this is what I've been taught during my college years. If I'm lying, then my professors are lying too. I even personally know a woman whose child died three days after receiving the vax. I'm speaking about vaccines in general, not the covid one. When it comes to that one, it's up to you to decide what to do. I just wanted to write what I learned in college when it comes to autism and vaccines. It's not my intention to cause a fight. But yeah, other than that, Royce is a big no no for me. Ok, a lot of misinformation here. The study by Dr Andrew Wakefield (look him up) that first came up with this theory has been widely discredited. You are not a pharmacist or even a member of the medical profession. You should be aware that you anti vaxxers are causing way more harm than good. You are the reason this pandemic is not going away because you spread false theories and people will not get their shots. Admin I feel strongly that the above post should be removed. The post should stay. People can do their own research and make their own conclusions. Silencing people you disagree with is not the right thing to do. Let others read up for themselves on both sides of the argument and make their own decisions.

Thank you, tcat . People immediately throw you into a Trump supporter group or in a QAnon group and all this other stuff. It's like they're obsessed with the left and right paradigm and can't seem to wrap their head around the fact that not everyone is from the US and not everyone cares about American political scene. It's become so heavily indoctrinated in their heads, it's sad to see honestly. So thank you for understanding, was just trying to bring my point of view to all of this.

If this is a jab at me, my post said a lot of times distrust at the MSM is due to what imo is a *tragedy* of making a belief or disbelief in a deadly illness into part of one's political identity. Unfortunately if you do live in the U.S. it's hard to be a republican and support Fauci and trust in vaccines. That is a huge reality and it's why the red states have surging covid rates. It's a problem in my backyard, that's why it's important to me. I said that and I stand by it, but that doesn't mean I don't acknowledge there are other backyards. I also said I hoped that wasn't the case here and that I simply didn't know. I didn't say a word about q anon or conspiracies or insurrectionists, or go on and on about Trump. There is a difference between that and blaming everything on Trump just because I don't personally like him, and making a statement based on reality that is connected to Trump because how he handled the pandemic mattered and was highly influential throughout the world. I also posted a ton of non-partisan links and it seems like they just got ignored bc I brought up the FACT that the msm is often considered "liberal media" by many conservatives including my own parents, and so people don't even give it a chance.

I also posted a ton of non-partisan links and it seems like they just got ignored bc I brought up the FACT that the msm is often considered "liberal media" by many conservatives including my own parents, and so people don't even give it a chance. sparrow , let me play devil's advocate for a moment. But let me first preface with a little about me...I am middle of the road, have no allegiance to either left or right, I am known to vote Republican and Democrat, think Trump is a blubbering buffoon but did appreciate some of his policies (biggest one being the first President since Carter to NOT start a war or use US military involvement in foreign affairs. This is a big one for me because I am tired of the US using military might to bully the rest of the world. It causes us more problems than it solves.) I also got the vaccine because I have an autoimmune disease and my doctors told me to. I had a horrible, HORRIBLE reaction to the first shot, which sent me to the ER, but I still got the second because my doctors told me if I get the virus, I will likely die. This was in January when the vaccine first came out and I just took a 6 months antibodies test and I am all good. I have friends and family on both the left and the right, so I have heard both arguments for/against the vaccine. One of the things I have noticed about my lefty friends/family is the pretentious attitude they have developed towards those on the right. They think ppl on the right are just plain stupid and "ignore science". The meme posted by sophiemom of beating your head against a pole is an example of this attitude. Whether intentional or not, your post came across as having that attitude. I have also listened to friends on the right, and they make very valid arguments for being skeptical of the the left and the media. An example would be the media pushing the narrative that "Trump supporters are anti-vax", when the evidence (from the CDC) suggests it is minority communities that are reluctant. This would correlate with "red states" having a low vaccine rate given that red states have a higher concentration of black and hispanics. They also heard Dems during the election claiming that they weren't taking the "Trump vaccine" (such as Kamala Harris and Gov Cuomo being the loudest) only to insist everyone take the vaccine once they took office. It's the same vaccine. Why was the vaccine dangerous before but now is safe? Most of my friends who see it this way are minorities. They really are skeptical of any rushed vaccine that the government is mandating. They have seen the CDC and Fauci give conflicting information on mask. First masks are ineffective, then everyone needs to wear a mask, then people need to wear 2 mask, then admitting there is no scientific evidence to back this up. Then Fauci admitted that he lied about mask being not effective in the beginning because he wanted to reserve PPE's for medical workers (which makes little sense..medical personnel aren't buying masks at CVS). Then he (and other politicians) were photographed in public not wearing a mask. They also watched as politician after politician shut down the economy, mandated masks and then violate their own policies, as if they are above following their mandates they force on others. They also point out how we have been told that the vaccine is safe and everyone needs to get the vaccine so we can get back to normal. Get the shot and you won't get the virus. Now they are mandating masks again. This is the biggest argument my friends/family on the right make. If the vaccine works, why do they need to wear a mask? If they have to continue wearing a mask then why should they have to get a shot? (I know there are new variants and mutations of the virus and I have explained to them that if you get the shot and still get the virus, you have less severe symptoms and are not likely to die. This is the reason why while contraction rates have increased, death rates have flat lined.) The mixed messages coming from government officials and the media is playing a BIG role in why they are hesitant. They don't think it is worth the risk taking a vaccine that was rushed, hasn't been approved by the FDA yet and they don't know if there are long term effects. The other thing is I live in Texas. We have seen a MASSIVE influx of illegal immigrants crossing the border that are testing positive for COVID. Google McAllen and COVID if you want to see what chaos there is in Texas. This weighs on people heavily here and directly influences their attitude toward the virus and vaccines. Why is the government making mandates of mask, getting a vaccine, and wanting to institute vaccine passports for US citizens when they are allowing thousands of immigrants in who have the virus? They do make a valid point. The latest is the renters moratorium, which Biden has admitted is unconstiutional given the Supreme Court has already ruled on it, but has issued it anyway. I have 3 friends who are panicked about this. They have renters who have not paid rent since March 2020 and they are still having to pay the mortgage. Two of them are about to file bankruptcy because they can't afford this anymore and can't sell the homes. They don't understand why small landlords are getting squeezed but there is no moratorium on banks and mortgages. These types of decisions does not breed trust in people. This has gotten long, so I will wrap this up....I think people need to get the vaccine and I want my friends and family to all take it because I don't want them getting sick or possibly dying. But I know that shaming, ridiculing, and ostracizing them is not a way to motivate them. Looking down on them and thinking (or treating) them like they are stupid is also not going to do the trick. Maybe to a moment to understand their reasoning and recognize their skepticism is valid. I have convinced 5 people so far to get the shot, not because I made fun of them for being dumb but because I validated their feelings and asked them to consult with their doctor, someone who knows their medical history and would be in the best position to advise them. So if you come across someone who won't take the shot, try that instead of assuming their an idiot. Maybe we should all stop passing such harsh judgments and make assumptions of one another. Bottom line - we live in a free country and people are free to make their own decision, even bad decisions that could lead to their death. EDIT- my sister just called me and she tested positive for COVID. She got the vaccine so the only symptom she had was a headache this morning, which she took Tylenol for and it went away. I will be using this as an example to my friends on why they should get the vaccine. If you get the virus, your symptoms are minimal.
