I finally listened to both of the interviews with Jeff Bass — one purelly about the making of the music, which was good if you want to know the type of equipment used for some songs — and one about the shady practices that the Bass Brotehrs experienced. I encourage Eminem fans to listen to this because it is the first time anyone from the inside has shared a perspective about Paul, Dre and Jimmy. After listening I really do believe there may be some manipulation happening. But I'd love to hear everyone elses take away from it. It inspired me to read an interview with DJ Head, who use to be Eminem's tour DJ. Then I listened to an interview with Alchemist and learned he was very good frineds with Paul and that is how he became Eminem's DJ. It seems that everyone, except Denaun and Royce, were hired by Paul or Interscope, which has been shady for years. Here is the description of the episode and link to listen to it:The producer behind much of Eminem's early work. Jeff and his brother Mark discovered and produced most of the music on Eminem's first albums, but as the years went by they found themselves increasingly at odds with his label, Interscope/Universal, and were gradually written out of the story. Other than being mentioned on Wikipedia, the current Eminem narrative barely mentions them at all. Jeff and I spoke about his early days in the music industry, how he came to work with Eminem, and how the relationship developed over the years. open.spotify.com/episode/0Nha2lKdVfgBbJOZIkVVV5?utm_medium=share&utm_source=linktreeGood listen 👍 thanks
