What about his grandmother from his mom side? What's the story with her? No I don't think he was ever really close to her, not even as a kid and whatever chance she would've had to be close to him she blew when she sold him out and made that documentary about him and auctioned all his stuff he had as a kid at her place. I think she was one of the relatives that tried using him for money and one relative he's been very disappointed in for that I didn't know about this, I must confused her with Edna

Wasn't she the one who would give out these little cards saying something like " I met Eminem Grandma" and sold shirts outside his concerts Yeah, and I think you could go to her house and buy the t-shirts as well. I think she showed them off with some of his stuff in the documentary. I feel horrible but I think I actually own the documentary on DVD... I thought it was some BTS footage of him or something when I bought it lol That's really fucked up what she did and what documentary was that? I'm not sure I've seen it

How very, very, sad. No wonder EM has women issues: His grandmother, his mother, and his ex-wife all made, or tried to make, a bank run. And what about Aunt Betty!? Guy can't get a break. I can't fathom my parents and relatives suing me, my grandparents selling me out and being married twice to the same spouse. Wowza!

I thought it was his mom that sold tshirts and stuff, along with his autograph, at his concerts. I didn't realize his grandma did too. I know there was some issue over the Ronnie's dogtags that Em wore and concert promoters started selling dog tags with Eminem's name and i think the name of the tour (I think it was the Warped Tour). Didn't his grandma threaten to sue him?

I agree they all tried to make a bank run on Em, but he did become famous by writing songs about his mom and his ex-wife, so you could argue that he exploited them as much as they exploited him. Think about it, if you are with some guy that becomes rich and famous by writing horrible songs about you and then calls you out as some kind of traitor if you even speak about him in public. Would you find that fair? why is Em the only one allowed to use them for money and fame?

I'm not sure I've seen it It's a DVD box with 2 DVDs I have, the box looks like this it contains these DVDs they advertise about tons of unseen footage of Em, and the Mathers family's private photo collection and rare interviews, but what I remember there wasn't that much Em in it. It was more just people, like biographers and Em's uncle and grandmother, and his former manager, talking about him. And it was so boring I don't even remember if I finished watching it…

Didn't his grandma threaten to sue him? His mom and brother were on a talk show, but his grandmother and uncle did the documentary. Debbie talked a little in her book about the documentary and Em's reaction to his uncle when he heard about the documentary. And I'm not sure about the dog tags but Em had tapes with Ronnie's raps, and he asked his grandmother if he could use them in his music and she said no and threatened to sue him if he used them.

I get your point and I agree partly, he used his wife and mom in his music and got famous for it, and yeah, I guess he had something coming, but that doesn't explain why his grandmother starts making and selling t-shirts with his pic and name, and make money off of that, or why she wanted money out of him. When did he ever mention her? That doesn't explain why his uncle makes a documentary about him, talking about his private business. When did he ever mention him? That doesn't explain why his aunt and uncle had him buy them a house, pay for all the furniture and then pay them "salary" to live in the house, and then they sue him when he stopped paying for them. When did he mention them? And it doesn't explain why his ex-wife's cousin all of a sudden falls head over heals in love with him when he starts making money, and divorces her husband to be with him and then writes a tell all book when he didn't want the same as her… And what about his dad? Kim's parents? He didn't deserve all that.

Em has been in contact with his dad's aunt his entire life until she died in 2009. Em said his dad used to call her while Em was there but he never wanted to talk to EM or even know about him. Then Bruce sees Em on TV and realizes he's famous and THEN he tries to reach out. Why then? He had 26 years before that… He was talking on the phone to a person standing next to Em, it can't have been that hard to find him if he was trying? I'm not sure about Kim's parent because we only have Em's word on that, but apparently they wanted money from him too. And didn't Kim's mom also give interviews about him. At least she has always been quick to call the press when there was something she could get a story out of. Not to dig up old stuff about Em and his kids but like Em arguing with his daughter because she was rude to him and hung up on him, Kim's mom made it sound like Em broke into their house and assaulted his own kid. That whole story was so blown out of proportion.

Well I knew about his dad(I thought was something else I was missing) but I don't remember what story Kathy blew out of proportion … Well it was a long time ago and it was all over the news how Kathy called the cops and tried to report Em for domestic violence, but he was cleared of all the charges. It was sometimes before his overdose, so maybe he over reacted and I don't know what happened, but I'm sure calling the cops and the press and trying to get domestic violence on his criminal record was unnecessary. It's old tho and I don't wanna drag up a discussion about that, and everyone is probably trying to put that period of time behind (in Em's family I mean) But I can PM you the article if you want
