I do believe Paul has some sort of "business" agreement with Royce: -Em has used some of his beats instead of other renowned and way better producers' -He connected them with Grip, Whitegold and persuaded Em to do the Big Sean song (talking about Sean, he's certainly big ) -He is now a part of the MM Foundation, besides from Em's lawyers there aren't any other public or famous people in the board. - That NFT thing, I bet he's also involved with that shit. There may be more things behind close doors that we don't know yet, this industry is savage.

Do you think Em still has contact with them to keep some Detroit cred? He seems to really care what people from Detroit think of him. I don't get why Em hooked back up with him in 2010. He and Royce didn't speak for years. Em should have never made amends with him. D12, Paul and everyone vouched for Royce and joe which is the only reason Em let them back in. From royces and joes mouth the deal took a long ass time and part of the reason was Ems trust issues. Biz said he felt guilty for vouching for joe it’s funny because the more Royce talks the more u realize that the story they tried to sell about Em and Royce is false. Royce confessed that Em and him weren’t that tight when SH was on shady. He said it on joes podcast. And then they hung out a bit around 2016-2018ish. Even back in the day before the fall out Em met Royce not long at ALL before signing to Dre and Royce dipped to do his own label thing leaving Em without a fucking hype man which made Em go to proof even tho they were fighting. Royce and Em were NEVER besties. It would be like me saying a friend I hung out with in college for two years and then worked with together for a couple of years ten years later was my bestie. Nah. The narrative is wrong. I think Paul tried to force the friendship to get Em out of his bubble and seem less awkward or something but it didn’t work. EM DIDNT EVEN WANT TO DO BME! And he certainly wasn’t friends with him when he was drunk all the time trashing Ems studio with bottles when Em was newly sober. The only times they had a semi friendship was like three years. honestly I think Royce even used crook and joell as a stepping stone to get back with Em and never gave a fuck about SH. Same with joe. Joe just wanted access to Em to get money to buy a house, dip the contract and use Em name for his podcast no matter what. They never wanted it to go that far which is why joe kept pushing back and Royce was like “I ain’t doing it without joeeeeeee” 😭 and joe was like I ain’t doing it if we are on the labellll! So fine they get off the label and they STILL found lame excuses. Imagine how crook and joell felt when SH was at a standstill and Royce and joe were making their career off the back of shady by either working with em/pretending to be his spokes person or using Ems name as a controversial topic for click and views. i honestly don’t think Em gives a fuck what the younger generation thinks about him in Detroit. He did NOT want to do that cypher song and I think he thinks most of them suck. I think Paul wants Em to have the connection tho so he can sign potential new talent but I think Paul is realizing Royce doesn’t do much except cause drama 🤷♀️ think about it when was Em every involved with underground artist drama before Royce came slithering back in? None whatsoever during recovery and relapse 🤷♀️ and mmlp2 even Are you talking about that Cypher fron Shady 15 or whatever? I HATED that Cypher. I couldn't figure out why they were celebrating 15 years. 20 or 25 years is a more acceptable milestone. I figured it was just another one of Paul's money making scheme's....like selling bricks from his childhood home. I think Paul was behind the whole SH from the beginning. I think it was his idea and know Em is taking the slings and arrows, as always. Isn't Paul's job to make things easier for Em, not create situation with so much drama. Maybe Em needs new management. Or this could have been all Em's idea, Paul tried to talk him out of it, and now having to run interference on Em's behalf. 🤷♀️

tcat naw it was def Paul’s idea. Like I said Em didn’t trust joe or Royce before signing them I think Paul just wanted the label to take off and Em felt guilty because during his addiction he wasn’t helping his label (both aftermath/interscope and shady) and went with it I think he did try really hard to make it work tho and I don’t think Paul deliberately tried to fuck Em over but I hope he realizes how it impacted Ems career by now and will let those assholes goes and focus on em the next few years And no I mean the big Sean verse that Royce basically made Em do according to him

There may be more things behind close doors that we don't know yet, this industry is savage. There’s so many “could” “maybe” etc it hurts my brain i know Royce def had something to do with the tom macdonald nft thing but idk how far Paul was involved cuz he seemed pretty angry when tom got the beat. Everytime an Em NFT was sold paul tweeted about it and then the tom thing and crickets. I think Royce had some money thing with Tom and gave him the heads up or SOMETHING. Plus Royce was publically praising tom prior. idk Paul doesn’t need money so I can’t see him being desperate so everything is soooo odd but yeah Royce is def closer to Paul than to Em that’s for sure. I just can’t figure out why. it will be interesting to see Paul’s interaction with Royce after this whole SH mess and the fact that Royce wasn’t invited to the super bowl

Or this could have been all Em's idea, Paul tried to talk him out of it, and now having to run interference on Em's behalf. 🤷♀️ Personally, I think Paul is just as culpable. To place all the blame on Royce and these other guys is ridiculous. Paul's job is to put Marshall's interest first, not to wheel and deal with other people or feel bad for them. He is an attorney and a very smart man. I believe much of this is done for his own self-serving interests. Let's discuss why he left for Def Jam or why he started his own Goliath label and made Marshall a silent partner. Sounds like he is doing a little using of Marshall himself. That is so shifty considering he is Marshall's manager. Why start a competing label? Sad part is that Marshall and Tracy are really all I believe Marshall has to truly trust and rely own. I think Tracy has his best interest at heart, at least more than Paul. Sounds like Paul has been shoving Royce down Marshall's throat for quite some time and it has been drama ever since. I believe Paul either signed Marshall into a bad deal or Paul has ulterior motives, either way, that makes him no better than Royce or Joe. They aren't getting paid to look after Marshall's best interests. They should have been loyal, but hey, sounds like they are like everyone else in the music industry. Paul has a professional and legal obligation PLUS a friend obligation, and he is coming up weak on all fronts. AND, don't even get me started with those bricks. Shameful!

what do y’all think this convo is alluding too
whatever they are scheming I want shady and Em far away and then I wont give one single flying fuck about their annoying asses.

Joe is losing it on his podcast. Absolutely losing it and defensive mode
Sounds nervous
And he was like “stop monitizing my life…”
Like he didn’t do the same to Em smh 🙄

well at least they're keeping Em's name away for now. And that Paul tweet was about truth so I guess he's on Crooks' side?

Yeah just keep Ems name away from the bullshit and they can blow each other up for all I care im just worried Royce and joe are gonna go in defense mode and try and blame everyone except themselves, including Em

Snoop is putting crooks and joells new song in his stories
Which explains why crook didn’t back Em during the snoop thing and probably why Denaun didn’t either. Em needs real friends man. Not any that have hidden agendas 🙄 he always has to defend himself when it actually matters.
Crook has been trying to make moves to get signed by snoop for a while now. Messy assholes. Always an agenda
