Looks like Em has is letting another movie use one of his songs. He seems to be doing a lot of that lately. But I don't care, because it is one of my favorites off my favorite album, TES.

Aww and it is kinda kids movie! Who would have thunk one day Em's music would play to the kiddies :6z He made Without Me being a superhero trying to prevent kids form listening to his music. About 10 years later they're using that one for a kids movie! oh the irony! :ce And now Sing for the moment! Wonder why they cut out "well can it load a gun up for you and cock it too, well if it can then the next time you assault a dude, just tell the judge it was my fault and I'll get sued"? LOL kidding!

It's a smart business move but it makes me a little sad. i don't like to see Em corporatized. You know?

I don't think that Em ten years ago would have let somebody use one of his songs for this kind of movie. He probably would have hated it

I mean I don't think Ems image is corporate but his "brand" is. It's just that he is subtle with it and is picky
I think it's pretty clear he had a deal with Diet Coke, Red Bull, kangol and Nike. He just doesn't approach it like most artists.
I mean I'm sure he really is addicted to Diet Coke but there are too many shots of him drinking it in perfect angles for it not to be a advertisement. And obviuously he loves Nike but you know they are writing him a check. It's like Taylor Swift when she gets snapped by a pap holding a Henri bendal bag in a perfect angle....girl is getting paid.
Or remember when he is being interviewed by Anderson cooper and they were talking about watches and he asked him about his watch and they did a quick close up on it and Em is like "oh it's only 100 bucks." Advertising. Or when he showed a pic of his cassette collection on instagram and then like two days later he is like lol buy mmlp in cassette so you can be just like me!!
I think it's kind of impossible to be as big as Em is and not be "corporate." Em and his team are just really good at playing it up so it doesn't look like. Also that song is like over ten years old. I don't think it's a big deal. It's his song he can do what he wants with it
Also he has a young nephew and Kim's son I'm sure he sees a lot. His song in a cartoon movie might be really cool for them to see. That might have swayed Em a bit

It's not the first time that one of his songs has found its way into a kids' movie, (I believe the other one was Despicable Me 2, which is made by the same production company as this one) which in a lot of cases these days, adults watch them just as much as the kids, so at least in some way, the adults don't feel too awkward. Heck, my brother watched The Secret Life of Pets with his fiance a few weeks ago and they're both in their 40's with no kids present. Kids movies always seem to have an element of adult humor just to help the parents enjoy it too, so maybe this is Em's way of saying "yeah, I had to sit through Tangled (that even turned up as a reference in one of my music videos) and Frozen a dozen times - I get you."

I never thought about the Red Bull, Diet Coke, Kangol, etc being advertising! Maybe Paul is more on it then I thought LOL.....I remember one time hearing the advice if you are going to buy stock in something buy it in places you already put your money. For instance if you shop at Walmart all the time, buy Walmart stock etc. That makes sense if Em is going to wear or drink it anyways lets make some money off of it.

Alot of the people taking their kids could also be the same teenage fans from when he first dropped the SSLP. I think it is a good business move to have the songs on movies or trailers. It seems that whenever he does something like this his albums will move up the charts, even the old ones. It is like multiply streams of income for him

I know guys, I get why he does it and I'm not mad at him, lol. It's a good way to keep an income as he ages and moves away from performing.
I just sometimes think of young Eminem and wonder what he would say about it.
