I really like this song. I like Skylar. I like the production. And I like Em's verse. It is really good. I have had it on loop for the last hour. I really wish he would release a new album. UGH!!!
I also went on Genius to see how the users there were annotating the song, and they didn't disappoint. They made Em's verse all about Kim. And some of the annotations are wrong. Like one says that Kim tried to commit suicide in 2007. That's news to me. But anyway, I don't think his verse is about Kim. I think it is just something he made up; a fictitious couple. he is a creative guy. He can make up stuff that doesn't have to be attached to his real life.

Maybe it's just me and my weird obsession with Joker and Harley (because my boyfriend and I sort of joke that we are each character) but Em's verse just screams Suicide Squad.
Especially in the first line of "In your dream, you're drowning, I just walked in and saved you". Which is a scene in Suicide Squad where in a flashback memory, Harley dives into a vat of liquid (whether it's the acid of the Ace chemical plant, I don't know - it's not mentioned) and begins to drown, only for Joker to five in after her and save her.
The fact that their relationship is also of the origins of Joker brainwashing and manipulating her, sort of coincides with the idea/line of "Ain't your fault cause I made you/Brainwashed and persuade you."
It's no secret that Em has a thing for comic books, and in recent years has made several references to Joker. Look at his entire viral promotion for Relapse, as one example - taken STRAIGHT from the playbook of what the studios did for The Dark Knight's release.
Em's running theme when he mentions relationships is unstable, unhealthy and borderline if not extremely abusive. And who better use a real life inspirational couple like Bonnie and Clyde, than an almost fictional copycat double such as Harley Quinn and Joker?

I didn't think of that, but you're right. I bet that was his inspiration for the song. i'm sure he has seen the movie since they used one of his songs, and like you said, he loves comic books.

It's so nice to hear new music from him! I really like the song! Although I will say I feel like Skylar could have come up with better lyrics for her verses, especially after hearing Coming Up for Air.
I haven't watched Suicide Squad yet but it wouldn't surprise me if it inspired him!

This made me want a video.
People claim it's an official single now, so there might be a Video sooner or later.

I would say it probably might turn into a single. There's nothing I can see in there that the radio wouldn't play, or the TV stations won't loop (not that TV stations even are the "go-to" for music videos anymore). That, and it would hype up the album for more sales. Because well, everyone knows these days that if you're affiliated with Shady in any way, the only way to get decent publicity is to stamp Em's name on it. That's pretty much Shady's only tactic to sell ANYTHING these days. Lol.
Whoever made that graphic though... made Em look like a lost cast member from Coneheads.

Decided I love Em's verse. He took a different approach to the song than I expected, so it took me a minute to warm up. But the more I listen, the more I appreciate it. His rapping is perfectly within the beat. Those who say otherwise are wrong. His pace was perfect (not too fast), he displays emotion but doesn't scream. The rhyming is amazing. The mirroring of Skylar's verse earlier in the song just made it all fit together so well. And he painted such a good picture of the Bonnie and Clyde theme. I think his little vocal inflections/ high pitched words were a bit odd, but it doesn't ruin anything for me. I love the beat, but the drums were muddy sounding during Em's part. Wonder what happened. And I'm still wondering if Em really did produce it. Submersing myself in the music with my headphones made it so much better than hearing it on my iPad speakers. In the end, I'm happy with it. I hope I don't overplay it to death. Already listened to it 5 or more times last night. The song definitely makes me feel something, but I'm not sure what... some kind of emotional reaction. I give the song a 8.5 to 9/10. It's beautiful IMO.

This is the first Eminem song we've gotten in an entire year, and all it generates is less than one thread page?? Come on folks. This is sad.
