I've also given up hope of ever seeing him again. Shady Records has given us no reason to have any hope. He has absolutely nothing lined up--no concerts/ performances, songs, videos, interviews, collabs or albums. Not even a single picture since Lolla. He and Paul have ignored every question about Em's plans and whereabouts for an entire year--other than Lolla. MMMLP2 was confirmed to exist 6-9 months before it was released. They've confirmed nothing about any new albums. All they do is try to sell more ugly merch and advertise their shitty video game. I'm honestly done with the nonsense. I'm trying to get to the point of accepting that Em may be gone for good. And if he does happen to surface in the future, it will just be a nice surprise. I am starting to think this too..he is done and just doesn't want to announce that he is done. Wasn't there speculations when MMLP2 came out it was his last album? A new album from him is like the waiting waiting for Detox from Dre. Personally I think we will know when he is done. He will tell us. I see maybe one or two more albums but he is taking his sweet time cuz he can and is in no rush. I mean there was 3-4 years between mmlp2 and recovery. Plus I think he knows he doesn't have many albums yet so he wants to make them pretty perfect. Plus come on a last Eminem album? You know Paul would jump on that for advertising the shit out of it. I'm just saying knowing the em brand I'm pretty sure they will make it kinda a big deal if he decides he's done. But yeah he is definitely in no rush but he hasn't been for the past 6 years lol Also even when we start getting the slightest gossip on Em's album (even if they are complete bs) it means he is starting something. I still think we will have something 6-10 months from now This is jmo tho |

I think there's still hope that he will release another album in the future. He's said many times that all he does with his time is rap and he is truly passionate about writing lyrics so I don't think he is 100% done yet. I feel like he is trying to come up with a concept that will allow him to be creative without being repetitive. I was not a big fan of Relapse but the whole serial killer theme gave him a map to follow. Same thing with MMLP2, it gave him a chance to address certain topics from MMLP with a different angle. I agree with kat531, anything he releases from this point on will just be added bonus. Before Relapse, I honestly thought he was done for good so you never know. |

I don't think he will ever come to terms with completely retiring though. He already did the whole retiring thing with Encore and Curtain Calls so I think he learned his lesson lol. |

I hope you all are right. I'm just not going to sit on the edge of my seat waiting anymore. There hasn't been any Em news or updates for an entire year, and I feel like there never will be. And I'm so tired of Paul ignoring us. So I'm taking a cynical approach in my attempt to cope with the lack of Eminem for the past 4 months and for a long time into the foreseeable future.

He's definitely working on an album. The Slaughterhouse album is stalled. He isn't deeply involved in Yelawolf's music. There's no soundtrack on the horizon. We know he doesn't have many outside interests besides going to the studio. The Rap on Steroids verse is suspiciously unreleased (Em probably kept it for his project). And his kids are mostly all grown up. We are getting an album later this year.
Sidenote: I would love to know what Em's does outside of music for fun. I hope he vacations and enjoys his money. He does have multiple houses so that gives me some hope he moves around a little. I see all these other celebs vacation and travel all the time even though they don't do shit.

Since 2 of his daughters have boyfriends I doubt, because I remember what it was like at their age, they spend all there summer time with EM. When I was there age I was hanging with my friends, going to concerts and living my life; parents excluded. EMs "Slim Shady" to us, but to his daughters he's probably a pain in the ass (like most parents are to their children in that age group)...LOL! Plus, he's a workaholic, no matter what he's working on, but I do hope he's spending some summer time with his family.

What did you talk about? lol it was pretty anticlimactic. he saw it on my book shelf in my living room where the couch went. And he saw the mmlp cassette next to it and he said he liked that album and i said yeah I'm a big fan. And we discussed our favorite albums and the reasons we like Em in general. He didn't look like Em at all -he wasn't bad looking though-just wasn't my type physically. |

I’ve been on a few sites like Lainey Gossip and ONTD where, whenever Eminem is mentioned, at least one person asks if he’s dating/has a girlfriend/is still with Kim (more so the first two) and though I used to ignore it. Now, I wonder: how does that work? Especially if the woman isn’t famous/in the industry. I’ve heard stories about a person who isn’t famous dating an actor, saying they aren’t fond of a specific movie genre/actor, only to have the actor ask “what makes you an expert?” Or even making a joke about how ridiculous you feel Kanye or Taylor (thought it was relevant, ha) is acting, just to be met with “do you know them?” What if she wasn't really a fan of his stuff or, if she are, you just find yourself playing other artists music on loop instead. If she wholeheartedly disagreed and constantly challenged him on his views/lyrics, would she be forced to keep that to herself/private and play the supportive significant other in public? How much access would she have to him - especially with stories of Paul and Tracy (allegedly) keeping Marshall from other people. If they felt she was getting in the way/distracting him, what would happen to her? How much could he sincerely be there for her when he can’t even leave his house with serious fan-fare? If she had a work event, award show, etc., could he show up? Finally, how could she avoid finding herself questioning his loyalty to her when there are stories of him dropping everything when it comes to Kim/not always being faithful. It’s understandable concerning Kim - she’s the mother of his child and a major part of his life - but wouldn’t she feel as though Kim’s somewhere waiting in the wings? Let’s not even talk about the amount of nonsense many would throw her way at concerts, on social media, music industry events (if she attended). People constantly pushing her out of the way to get to Em, pretending to get to know her only to ask for access to him. Having to field a million and one questions about him - just look at Royce, D12, and Obie with one million Vlads. Crazy. Or maybe I’m not giving Em enough credit. matty, I especially want to get your take on this because you like to psychoanalyze as much as I do  |
