SO Elon seems hellbent on making every wrong decision with Twitter putting the company in peril. I tend to think Twitter will survive. Elon will either panic sell or lose the company in bankruptcy. Some other company will swoop in a hopefully right the ship. I mean, Myspace, Tumblr, LiveJournal, etc. all technically still exist. Twitter is a good idea in theory, so I think it'll still be attractive for some company with a clue to buy.
I'm sad at Twitter's current state. I get a lot of useful info from there. It's great for promotion. Great way to follow along to breaking news. I hope it doesn't die.

Twitter is so useful I think it will survive, it still has value. But there will probably be outages until someone with a clue takes over.

It is awful about Twitter but the stories coming out are amazing. Like the guy who controlled security badge access getting fired and then called personally by Elon because no one could get in or out of the building. |

Yeah, I'm probably in the minority here, but I think Elon will make Twitter better and it will not only survive, but will thrive. He plans to pay content creators, like YouTube/Instagram. He has several plans for Twitter that I believe will make it more valuable to the user. He's cleaning house right now and keeping employees who buy in to his vision.
As far as everyone quitting, I think that is what he wanted. Twitter employees made it known to the world back in March/April when he first announced he was buying the company that they did not want to work for Elon because he said he would allow Trump back on Twitter. He hasn't let Trump back on Twitter, at least not yet, but whether you agree with him or not on his stance of wanting to twitter to be the "public arena for open debate", keeping around employees that are going to sabotage and undermine what your vision, is something none of you would put up with. No one would. Why would you think he would be any different? The display of the projector on the side of the building is an example of the employees he doesn't want, so I don't expect this to bother him much.
I expect him to next announce he is moving the company to Texas.
Of course I could be wrong in all this and it all falls apart next week.

What I like about Elon is that he is totally unpredictable. A loose cannon. No matter what you think about him, the man's a genius...And the wealthiest person in the world, that we know of. He beats to his own drum. I agree with tcat, that Elon will make it better. Just give him time. |

Most executives would not be so willing to admit they made or mistake or made a bad move. |
