And [mention]sparrow [/mention] that goes against brand too. He’s always spoken about his sobriety but now we have him taking second hand smoke from Snoop. I wonder if he himself is trying to break away from that image. He hasn’t been posting his sobriety stuff in like 2 years. It goes back to him making everything about him a blur where we no longer will know who Marshall Mathers really is. During Recovery we would’ve never seen him doing something like this. His authenticity is slowly diminishing which is why a lot of fans love him I don’t mind drug songs. Em has always been playful with that but blowing weed in his face at the ape fest was too much |

I hope the kids watched this and texted dad like wtf was that? Don’t ever do that again. Maybe that might wake him up and see how dumb the whole idea was. I remember in an interview for Revival with Michel Martin for NPR, she asked him about what his daughters say about his work and music he said something to the nature (and I am paraphrasing) "they non dad will be dad." and basically stated they don't say anything to him about his work and music. So, I am sure that is a zone most people tread lightly telling him something they think might upset him or hurt his feelings. But maybe he might ask their thoughts, considering Snoop got this idea form his son. |

Also, and I say this as a stoner, the whole weed thing pissed me off and the concept was weirdly drug promoting. Pretending to get super high when Em is sober and worked hard to become so and stay that way is bizarre and disrespectful -- even if he signed off on it. I have a feeling a conversation was had there because he's not smoking himself, he's getting a contact high. Even so, it doesn't ring right to me. Secondly, like hahahaha I get it, it's A REALLY BIG JOINT AND THEY'RE GETTING SUPER HIGH, ENOUGH TO GO TO ANOTHER UNIVERSE. These are fucking 50-year-old men. I get that Snoop and weed go together but they present it in this bizarre teenage way that I feel was some tech bro saying "No no no listen, we're gonna sit on a couch, and we're gonna smoke a fattie...it'll weight 20lbs...cause we're gonna be HIGH. IT'LL BE GREAT!" Plus not to be a weed Karen but OMG WEED DOES NOT MAKE YOU TRIP LIKE ACID. If you smoke too much it feels shitty and best-case scenario you pass out. FFS we finally decriminalized marijuana and it's sold recreationally in a lot of states now, let's not go backwards and make it look like you're going to jump out a window and try to fly if you so much as inhale secondhand smoke. you make a GREAT point! Cheech and Chong were there last night and said they really enjoyed that performance the most. How ironic they followed up that performance. |

Pre sobriety that was what drugs can do especially uppers and pain killers. 06-07 especially 07 and his Shade45 shows were the worst. I just don’t see how they all can say they didn’t know how bad off he was. BULLSHIT. Did they not listen to him while he was talking? His speech was slurred and he was making no sense. That’s why EVERYONE on his team gets a side eye from me Paul/Tracey/his assistant etc they saw him physically and sat in on interviews. They knew. I don’t think they had any big impact on him becoming sober. The sadness or or the way he looks now is just him. He’s just not a happy person. The drugs made him more peppy. |
