The court footage said Eminem woke up to the person standing behind him. When someone is behind you while you just wake up, you don't see the person but just feel the presence, so the size or a beard doesn't matter. Matthew? That's the intruders name and not the name of one of Eminem's nephew. Guess a little mix up by you. Or if he woke up from hearing a noise and thought it was his nephew before he saw anything ? I can only by what we are told. He said Eminem told him someone was behind him when he woke up. Of course he most likely woke up cause of some nose but when he was awake then, his back was facing the intruder.

I'm guessing in the confusion of being awoken and it being dark, he briefly assumed it must be someone he knows. Maybe even if it didn't make logical sense for them to be in the house at that time. I'm guessing the realization of the situation dawned on him quickly. I'm very impressed by how Eminem handled the situation, seemingly just talking the guy down and walking him out of the house. Scary situation that I hope never happens again.

Could be a possibility and would somewhat tell me that he got his nephews over sometimes cause if it wouldn't be likely to him for one being around, he wouldn't have thought so. He really reacted so well. Maybe probably just would have freaked out and someone could have been injured.

Well, this police said another thing cause the first version that TMZ reported was that Em woke up cause his mansion’s alarm went off, which makes sense cause how Em woke up? Also, this man luckily didn’t have a gun.
His lawyer claims that he and Em didn’t have physical contact and he has mental problems. Em initially thought he was his nephew, (he looks like Patrick physically)and asked him why he was there? but I think he asked him from the stairs.
It’s weird how they changed the story from the first version that tmz reported. I mean when the alarm went off the first thing that you do is turn on the lights and they also said that other people were there. Em was not alone, but Em wanted to protect their identities. It doesn’t make sense this new version. It sounds like Stan 2 or Bad guy 2. 😉🌝

Or if he woke up from hearing a noise and thought it was his nephew before he saw anything ? This is what I assumed it meant... Cause he was in the lounge/living room wasn’t he? So if he woke up and felt a presence behind him, sounds like he’s sleeping on the sofa like he’s said he does in a song 😂♥️ It sounded like he wasn't in bed but on the couch in another room.

It sounds like Stan 2 or Bad guy 2. 😉🌝 In the court hearing yesterday they didn't say WHY he woke up, just that he thought it was his nephew behind him when he woke up. So let me walk through how I think it MIGHT went have down: -Eminem falls asleep on the couch in the evening/at night and stays there -Matthew breaks into the house around 3:30 am -He walks around the house and finds Eminem on the couch -Matthew stands behind Eminem -Eminem wakes up from the alarm and notices someone standing behind him -Either his nephew (no matter wich one, as he didn't see him) was really there or he has one over a lot and half asleep didn't realize he wasn't there -As Eminem isn't fully awake yet, hears the alarm and feels someone standing behind him, he thinks it's his nephew and probably assumes the newphew set off the alarm walking around the house -Eminem gets up from the couch and sees it's a complete stranger standing there -He starts talking to him trying to de-escalate the situation and the guy tells him he is there to kill him -Eminem stays calms (best thing to do) and keeps talking to the guy (no idea what he said) -In the end Eminem is able to walk the guy through the house outside (without an altercation) and outside is the security guard that pushed Matthew to the ground -while all that went on, a women (not known if inside the house or a neighbour) had called the police -when Police arrives, Matthew and the Security are on the ground
This is based on confirmed info from court, assumptions and other info that was in different articles

stefanie yeah that could happen as well, but the first version makes more sense to me Than Em being caught in the living room like an easy target.. www.tmz.com/2020/04/30/eminem-home-intruder-arrest-confrontation/“ We're told an alarm went off and it woke Eminem. Em got up and found the intruder in his living room. The intruder was detained and the guards came a-runnin' and grabbed the guy.” I guess the police told Tmz This version. And here are more details that were not mentioned today. www.google.com/amp/s/amp.detroitnews.com/amp/3119366001“ Clinton Township — An edited police incident report and tape recording of a 911 emergency call from the home of rap superstar Eminem shed little light on what transpired during an April 5 break-in — apparently for the safety of the singer and others, police Said. Safety of others? See Em was not alone when the break in happened and the woman’s voice who called 911 was blurred/edited too.

Em got up and found the intruder in his living room. The intruder was detained and the guards came a-runnin' and grabbed the guy.” I guess the police told Tmz This version. ( most of the time, it’s accurate). The facts like "waking up to someone standing behind him", "Eminem walking him out wihtout altercation"... come from Court yesterday. The people who said that were sworn in, so no lies allowed and also not needed. And some parts from the old articles still match the court version. Like when they said Em caught him in the living room would make sense if Em was sleeping in the living room. So Em slept in the living room, heard the alarm, got up and "caught" the guy. Already the old articles had different Version if Em had to get physical or not. So as the "none physical" version was in Court yesterday, the article about him just talking to the intruder was true. Of course the cop only answered what he was asked and he could only say what he saw or was told. It would have been more detailed if Em was question or also the intruder. We will come to that. In court they kept talking about 3 people, the intruder, the security and Em. I know a woman called but she COULD have been a neighbour. Back then the article clearly said they don't know if the person was inside the house or not. They do sometimes edit audio recordings before they become public to protect the caller, that doesn't mean the caller is famous. And I know some think it was edited cause it was Kim but 99.999% people wouldn't even recognize Kim's voice and she isn't "special" meaning no other than many woman her age. Of course it's for the safety for Em and others they did not publish details. If indeed his nephew was there (and I would assume it was a child as he wasn't mentioned in court) then he deserves to be protected. Also the full article talked about not sharing details to prevent future situations like that. Meaning that they don't want it to happen again and of course in the future Em doesn't always have to be at home alone but could have guests/family over. People will find a conspiracy when they are looking for it. If you love to see secrets behind everything, you will find them. I go by the fact based knowledge and wait for more info to become available.

stefanie you are in denial girl, lol. So you really think that Em mistook this 27 year old man for this little angel? 😂😂😂 http://instagram.com/p/BzjYhWcBKYk You make me laugh Stefanie. Obviously he initially thought it was Patrick. And even msn noticed that they changed versions, so no, I’m not crazy and I’m not making up false rumors like you..https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/celebrity/eminem-s-home-intruder-was-there-to-kill-him-will-face-trial/ar-BB18S8qi?li=BBnb2gh “ The new account of the evening is vastly different and far more nefarious than earlier reports, which stated the intruder simply broke in because he wanted to meet Eminem.”

Denial about what? I go by what is reported while you want to create a story for yourself! I never said he visibly mistook that nasty intruder for his cute nephew. When you are half asleep and got your back turned, you feel the presence of someone but wouldn't know who it is. In court they clearly said Matthew was behind him when he thought it was his nephew. If all your senses work clear as fuck when you just woke up at 3am on your couch with someone standing behind you, congrats. I am pretty sure (even though Em needs glasses) he realized it isn't his nephew the second he made eye contact with the guy but he sure didn't know having his back turned. Yes, the story changed cause at first media outlets reported what they suppossedly heard. Now it's in court and people who were actually involved tell what they either saw or were directly told by Eminem. Yes, they at first said he wanted to meet him. Well this still could be true. He could have wanted to meet his idol before killing it. They also could have spread that info (even though Em's people knew better) so that Matthews lawyer would be caught by surprise in court. Or the media just could have been misinformed. I am not gonna keep wasting my time with you. Reply how often you want, I am done arguing with you. You got a version in your head that isn't confirmed but you keep shipping it. Keep doing that but without me.

Lol the nephew he thought he saw was not some little kid. He said he woke up and thought it was his nephew clearly he looked at him and even if he was sitting down Hughes was standing. How can you equate a 27 year old to like a 10 year old standing up? That makes absolutely no sense at all. They never said he heard strange noises. Originally they said the alarm went off in the first reports and it woke him up and he saw the guy so I’m sure he was groggy and that’s when he mistook the intruders identity for his nephew.
We have no clue what Em is up to and who is present in his life. It may not make sense to us but that’s just how it is. We just need more details!

The Officer in court said that Hughes was standing behind Eminem when he woke up and he thought it was his nephew. So no, he couldn't see him unless he got eyes in the back of his head or there was a mirror.
