I don't know if this is the right thread, if not apologizes in advance.
Anyways I was thinking one day of how much Em loves old hip hop/rap and the emcees that he always gives credit to. If he doesn't have his own album in the works (fingers crossed that he does) maybe he should work on a album of songs that he and some of his idols do. I know they say there is already an LL Cool J and Em song somewhere floating around that will most likely never see the light of day, I think Em would have fun with it, even if it doesn't go platinum or whatever. He would have fun and maybe introduce younger fans to a whole other type of rap.
Plus (bringing in his love of Detroit) he could have like an annual Detroit Hip Hop festival that gives these guys a stage to perform. Maybe one day it could be a legends day, and one day (the opening day) be the day that Detroit underground gets to have the stage. Proceeds could go to the Marshall Mathers Foundation or some other local charity. Think of the revenue that would come into Detroit if this could become an annual event. It could be the weekend around Proof's birthday or something.
Anyways some of my weird ideas when I think the Em really is done and what he could do to still have a hand in what he loves.

EM needs more than a diss to get his new album out...EM needs a keg of dynamite up his ass! LOL I think what has happen is Em is in a good place in his life, and has no angry to draw from. This is why it is so long between albums. |

Let's hope so, willowmoonblood, just that EM in a good place. If it's too good then we know he doesn't need anger management, hence nothing to draw from. That being said it did take years between other albums and knowing that EM is a perfectionist to the ninth degree that may be what's holding it up. |

My last hope for anything new and Em-related was killed off awhile ago.  I've pretty much given up. I probably will stop following his buddies on Twitter soon too because it makes me depressed to see everyone else so active, involved and connected with the world in comparison. |
