But they are! We talked a lot about it during our pharmachology courses that people think like that, when they actually are addictive. At least ibuprofen. It might not get you high, like your stronger painkillers, but it can most definitively be addictive. And there are actually a lot more ibuprofen addicts than people would think. Of course they're not like vicodin, but wrong kind of use can be very bad. We actually have 100, 200 and 400 mg ibuprofen as OTC pills, anything stronger is a prescription pill here. And then substances like paracetamol aren't addictive maybe, because for me it doesn't ever remove pain, but one tiny overdose of it can be fatal. That's not the case with ibuprofen or naproxen tho. The worst with regular ibuprofen use is that they are really bad for your stomach. Excessive use causes ulcers, which is why I don't want Em to use it, since he already talked about ulcers and eating all the time to avoid ulcers, he should stay away from naproxen and ibuprofen. I have to say, we had a speaker here from the US that talked about drug addiction, and she said that you have so many problems with addiction to strong prescription pills there, like vicodin, that you often don't even see the risks with using "easier" ones like ibuprofen. As for finland, we don't have pills like vicodin here, we have paracetamol, and if that doesn't help they try ibuprofen, and if that doesn't help and you need something stronger you get a prescription for ibuprofen, lol. I mean here if that doesn't work you basically get iv morphin or codein in a hospital, lol. So here we get to see ibuprofen addiction a lot more closer that you do. I guess? So I'm sorry, no offense, but I was almost amazed by your reply. I mean we just have so many people struggling here with that addiction, it is a real problem, just as serious as any other pill addiction. As it is over there, according to this speaker, it's just overshadowed by your stronger prescription pill problems. And I don't wanna put ideas into anyone's head - Em is NOT addicted to ibuprofen or naproxen, I think he's using them like you should and not playing around with them. I'd just be worried about his stomach, IF I'd be worried, but I'm not, because he's fine I'm sorry but I seriously have no idea what you're talking about. You can't get high off of Ibuprofen. If you take too much it can be harmful like any medication can be. But people don't crave it, it doesn't alter your mood, it is not addictive, it has no street value, etc. That is why you don't need a prescription for it. Maybe you are defining an "addiction" differently than we do here? No, I did say you maybe don't get high from it (I have never tried), but that doesn't mean you can't get addicted to it. I even personally know people who need ibuprofen every day to fight pain, or they need their pills to get through the day, or to feel normal. Needing pills to get through the day, to feel normal, that's what I call addiction. And yes, people "crave" it, like when it gets out of your system you NEED more, and quickly. I know people like this. And I have personally gotten a prescription for 800mg ibuprofen from a doctor, when I broke my collar bone. You can not buy it in a drugstore just like that. You need a prescription from a doctor if it's over 400mg. But maybe you know more about finninsh prescriptions than I do? It's just really hurtful to read when you seem so insensitive to a really serious problem. Ibuprofen addiction is a serious addiction. Saying it's not addictive is like saying that if you're depressed you should just move on and feel better. There's nothing you can do about it, except get professional help. eta:You even have rehab centers for ibuprofen addiction in the US... www.addictionhope.com/ibuprofen/treatment/

Maybe what you are talking about is people who have chronic pain issues or just improperly treated pain so they are taking high doses of Ibuprofen? Or maybe they are psychosomatic where their emotional distress is experienced or displayed as physical symptoms? Those are real issues, sure, but they don't get classified as substance abuse problems. They would be considered medical or psychiatric in nature. And as far as the websites you're finding, many of them are run by not so reputable sources.

I just don't know why I had to go and open my big mouth?! I was just trying to lighten up a conversation about Em and it backfires and brings up all the pain and memories about my late uncle who struggled with this. In may it'll be 4 years since he passed. And now I'm supposed to go to sleep. Good luck with that... lol

Do you all think em is gonna be more active on social media this time around? Like taking videos for instagram and shit of behind the scenes things?
It would be cool to see something other than the rare staged pics that they post
He used to be a ham for the camera back in the day and would haress people in the studio with a camera for behind the scene shit
I miss that. I was looking at Britney's instagram and the stuff she posts are so random/cute-i would love to see that from em. Nothing super private but it would be fun to see him let loose you know?

He did something on Facebook a few years ago, but it was only like 10 questions.

I have an image in my head of him having a serious face the whole time except when James leaves for some reason and he starts blasting like NSYNC or Britney Spears and starts jamming out and when James comes back he gets all straight faced again and quickly switches the station to like Tupac lol. Then James slowly catches on haha. Idk I just thought that would be a really cute skit. Em is so good with the poker face it would be hilarious. I could also see him enjoying playing around with snapchat filters haha

OMG the Carpool Kareoke with Michelle Obama and Missy Elliot! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Or when J-Lo was with James and he texted Leonardo DiCaprio from her phone and said "What up boo, club was poppin' last night" or something like that and Leo got all confused. CK is such a funny, humanizing skit (which is probably why Em won't do it...he's got to keep up that half regular guy, half Rap God mystique. Wasn't his Facebook AMA revealed to be Paul anyway? Like Em took a picture by the computer and then left, or something. Lil shit.

Like Em took a picture by the computer and then left, or something. Lil shit. i missed it when Em was more of a person rather than some untouchable god like dude thats one of the reasons why i liked that he got a beard-maybe he is slowly trying to get away with the "eminem" persona and be more himself. I am not saying eminem isnt a connection of him-obviously it is- but there is probably so much more than what the public percieves/sees. I saw a few mins of a katy perry interview and she said the reason that she chopped off her hair was because she was over the whole "katy perry" bit. Like her whole public persona took over and she didnt even know who she was anymore. Maybe Em feels that way sometimes -like he is trapped in an image and feels like he cant get out of it or cant relax in front of the public without feeling like he is letting people down. Like maybe he feels like if he is not the "eminem brand," 24/7 he isnt enough-which probably is exhausting. Imagine growing a beard or changing your hairstyle and having the whole internet blow up and make a huge deal out of it. . Being an "american icon," must be psychologically damaging to a human being. So yeah- I guess I just like it that he is branching away from a look of almost 20 years If you are just an average celeb people expect you to change and really dont care how you progress as a human...but when you become an icon (like Em, Britney, MJ, etc) people have expecations that you will always be what made you that icon in the first place. I can see why a lot of them end up having tragic ends. At least Em seems to have good friends around him and is very self aware for the most part.

I hope for and expect nothing where Em's concerned anymore. I'd be happy with just another guest verse at this point. He's probably just gonna show up to do his concerts in August and then go back into hiding for another indefinite period of time. Dude is impossible.

random but it would be cool if Em sampled the chorus to Creep for a song OMG - I was thinking the exact same thing last weekend!!!!!! That is so weird, and random. My friend and I were debating over whether we liked that version you posted or this one better: Seriously, that is so weird.
