Yeah, I think they should do the inauguration all virtually for safety concerns.

Wouldn't be surprise if the Gov't brings out the big guns...As in tanks. As far as people dying, it'll be the same as when they stormed Congress...Trumpsters (and, unfortuately, one cop who shouldn't have died). I'm not for violence, but if they start...Kill all those inbred motherfuckin' crackers!

Random but what has everyone been up to lately? I feel like this board has been kind of like the little engine that could lol. Trucking along throughout the years. I know some ppl like myself were in freaking high school when the original board started!!
I'm doing alright. I have my masters in IO psychology and work as a consultant for promotional candidates and have been interviewing for some jobs I'm excited for. Living in Seattle right now
How about y'all?

www.stern.de/panorama/weltgeschehen/verschuettet-im-bau---muenchner-tierpark-hellabrunn-trauert-um-alle-vier-erdmaennchen-30771824.htmlNoooooo! Tragedy has touched me today. Last year we had the year-long passes, so we could go to Hellabrun whenever we wanted… which wasn’t too often… lockdowns and whatnot. And they’ve still not opened the „houses“. You can see all the animals on the outside trails, like all zoos in California, but there are these houses where you can go inside and see the animals from a different view. A totally new experience for my immigrant/Californian ass! The poor meerkats! They were one of my favorites. The Zoo had glass where you could see them in their burrow… and the Earth above collapsed on them!!! Ugh!!!!

I am a closeted Slipknot-fan (in addition to being a closedet Em-fan)... For those who are familiar with Slipknot, founding drummer Joey Jordison passed two months ago. It broke my heart. Mostly because Joey was done so dirty by his own band when they fired him. But the worst is learning how fucking sad his last years must have been.. The man struggled and was obviously in a bad place mentally - in addition to his physical ailments... Most likely he was an alcoholic and died as a result of this... All alone at home, not found for days I made the terrible mistake today of realising that Paul & co managed to get someone like Em - with all of his SERIOUS personal problems and loooongtime addictions - sober and functioning. A lot can be said about this team, I am sure. But someone managed to get a guy as broken as Marshall back on track...If they could help Marshall, it should have been possible to help Joey. But no one did. No one tried to get him the proper help he needed. I am so sad. Also sorry for bringing non-Em thoughts in here, I don't dare share these thoughts at Slipknot-boards, as it is not a popular take.. Thank you.

Another example, look at Elvis...Colonel Parker did nothing to help him. Elvis was worth more dead than alive. And the list goes on. EMs one lucky dude to be alive 'n' kickin!

You tied in your slipknot views with a great reference to Em’s team… this is just the general bs board… Anything folks want to talk about here is cool…. I guess? I’m real sorry you’re feeling so bad about Mr. Jordison. We live in a shitty world. I wish for your sake and Joey Jordison’s that someone cared enough to help him out of his addiction.

There are too many examples. But no less sickening how cynical people can be. Not really sure why I get so bummed out over a person I have never known, but this celebrity death hurt.

I had my first conversation in a foreign language today!!! Foreign to me, it’s the language of the country I live in now.
Like, legit, understood everything the other person said, first time they said it, and my replies were also understood and I didn’t have to freak out about repeating myself!!! A real, spoken with words, conversation with a stranger… not just the everyday interaction bs!
What?! I’m just that much closer to actually being bilingual, which has been a goal of mine for decades.

That’s great! 😊 I feel like I don’t speak anything anymore 😂 Swedish at home, studied in english, and now finnish and english at work. And I can’t find any words in any language, and speak three different languages in the same sentence lol😂

😂 I feel that way too sometimes. Like, I can’t remember simple words in English! And then when I’m texting with folks back in the States, I’m using random German words…. They don’t know what I‘m talking about!
Are Finnish and Swedish similar? I’m not asking to imply you are not tri-lingual!
But I’ve heard the Scandinavians can “pretty much” understand each other. Is it just different accents? Or, how does that work?
