I think he's just taking his time. 3-4 years isn't that abnormally long a wait for an album to me tbh because most of the other artists I've liked tend to take that long between albums anyway: QOTSA, Beck, not bothered about Muse an more but Muse... I guess that's why I find it kind of annoying when people keep saying Em is "scared to bring out a new album" or that there's some problem. He said he's working on it. Still doesn't make it any less annoying the wait though I know

I kinda feel like it could be a combination of a few of them, like he considers himself to be semi retired because he is rich as f' and doesn't need to put out any new music to make money. So he spends his time in the studio playing around because he wants to make music because it is in his blood if he likes it enough he will put it out if he doesn't F' it, than personal issues got in the way and got him sidetracked. To be honest I wished he never said he was working on it. I would have just kept on keeping on, listening to what we have already, debating stuff in my head about what may have really went on when this happened or that happened. Now instead I sit and wait for some announcement, worrying that in fact we are waiting for what will eventually be known as Em's Detox AKA the album that never was.  |

He was probably taking care of Kim last year and that slowed him down. Or he scrapped his album and started over because of the negative reception of Capaign Seech and No Favors, if he was really gonna sound like that on it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he changed directions once or twice since he started making the album.

Each style on every album is different, just like now, he said he wasn't gonna rap like this on an album, I'm not worried. |
