They sampled the guitar riff. Don't know if enough bars were used to constitute a lawsuit, but EMs a megastar with clout, and two Grammys and an Oscar to boot, so he's getting his day in court!

No, I get that. It definitely sounds like Lose Yourself with a few notes changed, plus the commercial is almost identical to the Chrysler commercial. But my questions is if they campaign got this through a stock library, shouldn't he be suing the stock library?

Wow they even "borrowed" some of the words from the Chrysler commercial.Seems like who ever came up with that campaign would have a issue as well as Em. I wonder if they mean they got the pictures or images from a stock Library? I see what you are saying though tcat if someone put his music into a stock library then that is who he needs to go after.

Jeff Bass appeared yesterday and played the rift on the guitar. Further down in this story someone tweeted that they asked Jeff Bass if Eminem even knew about the trial, he replied he didn't know. That is weird I would think Eminem and the other writers would have to be listed as co-plaintiffs or something.

I'm surprised the advertising company that came up with the Chrysler ad isn't involved in the lawsuit as well.

Isn't Jeff Bass the one who also sued someone else over Em's music and this led to them falling out? Who actually runs the publishing company? Does Bass have a part of that to? So many questions LOL

So many questions LOL I thought Bass sued Em, or Shady Records, or maybe it was the publishing part of Shady Records and that is what lead to the falling out. EDIT: No, it was Aftermath he sued. It was over the digital downloads of Em's songs.

Good story. Besides the information regarding the estrangement he also gave a little detail into Em's relationship with his family in the early days. I kinda like to hear others say the same thing Em is saying. Didn't I also hear a rumor that The Bass brothers were the ones who got Em addicted (or at least started on) to drugs in the first place and that was another reason for the split after he became sober?

I don't believe that the Bass Brothers had anything to do with EMs addiction, willowmoonblood. Jeff Bass is older and pretty straight. I remember EM saying in an interview that when he was shooting "8 Mile" is when he got hooked on pills...Pills to stay up, pills to go to sleep...because of the shooting schedule which is always, on any movie, pretty radical. I think that's why EM never starred in another movie.
