Our country doesn't suck; just some of the people. I feel blessed being a triple minority...white, woman and single...that I was born in the US. I have a great life, good health, and have many things to be thankful for. Don't know if this would have been if I were born, say in...India, Saudi Arabia, Uganda, as examples. All I can hope is that when The Trumpster is in office he pulls a miracle out of his asshole. I would be pleasantly surprised! And, we need it! In the meantime...I am dreading January when the changing of the guard happens.

We have so many societal problems for an industrialized nation it's ridiculous. But hope Trump surprises us all come January--agree with you on that.

I am not saying "white" is a minority, but the trifacta of being a single, white woman is considered a minority. Yep, but note the 2 keys words that make me a minority combined with the word "white"...WOMAN & SINGLE. I know it's hard to believe but just Google those words and a vast amount of literature pops up.

Yep, but note the 2 keys words that make me a minority combined with the word "white"...WOMAN & SINGLE. I know it's hard to believe but just Google those words and a vast amount of literature pops up. I'm mixed race, female and single and I agree with everything you said. I feel blessed to live in this country and I am glad I was born here than anywhere else. I would hate to be a woman in say, Saudi Arabia. I can't stand Trump but I do understand how Trump came about. The working class is hurting baaaaad in this country. They have not recovered from the Great Recession. Most in my family are part of the working class and almost all of them voted for Trump - most of them minorities. There are something like 94M people out of the workforce, the most ever. Neither the Democrats or Republicans delivered on their promises to look out for the little guy - they only looked out for their corporate/special interest and themselves. Hillary was the candidate that embodied all that - thinking she was above the law with her email server in her bathroom, using the Clinton Foundation as a slush fund to fund the Clinton's lavish lifestyle and calling half the country a basket of deplorables, which just confirmed to the working class the contempt the ruling class has of them. Trump comes along and gives a big FU and the middle finger to the elitist and that resonated with people. I don't think he is going to deliver on the things he said either and people are going to be disappointed in his as well. There is going to be no wall, he's not going to repeal Obamacare or NAFTA. Everything will pretty much stay the same. Republicans survived Obama and Democrats will survive Trump. Trump has already tempered his rhetoric and been very complimentary of Hillary and Obama. He is acting presidential. Lets hope he continues that.

I really don't know much about politics, all I can hope is for the best tho. Everyone should be proud to be born in any country, because I believe the country is not the problem but some people in it, and sometimes maybe the problem is not the people but the decisions they make...

All I know is is that I am headed to Mexico over the Christmas Holiday to help the Mexicans build the wall to keep Trump out! The Trumpster is one deplorable human being, but we will survive as an nation and I will survive and flourish as an American. I'm feeling very optimistic after this diabolical election and glad it's over and we can all move on.

This is what Rolling Stone had to say about Campaign Speech (which was listed amongst their weekly favorites):
"A refresher course in excessive force that goes on for eight deeply troubling minutes. Slim Shady has never sounded so unhinged, but when he lists all the fucked-up shit he's going to do to Dylann Roof, you'll want to get up and cheer."
