Em just leaves a bread crumb of gayness to quote him I'm not saying he is gay (before people start wwIII) but that would be the best most controversial thing em ever pulled if he came out next album The world would collapse (well the social media/celeb world) I'm not saying he is gay! I'm just saying it would cause a world wind and I would be all for the dramas!! I'm no PRO, but I reckon that would be a great publicity stunt. It would probably sky rocket sales too, just from people wanting to hear all he "confessions" that couldn't be put out as a single. And honestly, it wouldn't even have to be true - people would just run with it, accept it, (cue the choruses of "see?? I fucking knew it!" and he can keep his personal life to his damn self. He could live the rest of his life out as a closet heterosexual and people would stop thinking every single one of his relationship references were about Kim, maybe they'd speculate about some Tim or Tristan instead. |

Well thanks everyone I came here to try and prove what those women on Lipstick Alley were referring to wasn't true  Seriously though, everyone here already knows what I am about to type out, but me myself I forgot you can't take just one line and try to make sense of it when Eminem is involved. The line after that refers to a "c********r", which of course has two meaning, the one referred to here and the other one a contemptible person. Since this seems to be one of his favorite words: Some ___________ shoved me into a fucking locker - Legacy Man, get these whack ___________ off stage- No Love These ___________ [police] got it in for me- White America "Man I'm done saying that I'm done playing, Im'ma a start laying any of these m***********g _____________."- Don't Push Me Like Elton John, cause I'm just a mean _________- Cold Wind Blows (Which I guess is the closest line to the one I was confused about LOL) I am going to go with he means the second definition LOL. I guess he is the Rock Hudson of Rock because he couldn't be the Saran Wrap of Rap and still be a C********R,  and like mentioned here, Rock Hudson had a entirely different life then he publicly showed, as Em does. I would rather think he means he is quite, shy and anxious as opposed to actually going round slicing Vivica' buttocks with a box cutter :CS and not the secret life Rock led. I honestly did not realize he said this word that many times....I think I know why his kitchen is decorated the way it is now. :6z What are the women on Lip Stick Alley saying? I can only imagine. That is a nest of vipers if there ever was one. I never go there anymore because it just is so nasty most of the time. I know most of them hate Eminem and call him a racist all the time. But then, they call everyone a racist. But they are especially white hot in their hatred of him. I know I need to stop going on there...but I don't know of any really active celeb gossip boards. If someone does please let me know!! Yeah everyone is a racist and every man is gay on LSA. The only men I think they hate more on there then Em is Dre and 50. But really they hate him, he is a racist who is a closet gay man living with HIV like Rock Hudson. Which is why he said he was Rock Hudson in a song talking about attacking Vivica Fox because he hates women because he is gay and remember that song he did, yeah lets post that 10 gigillion times. They even brought out some old blind item they keep saying is about him catching AIDS from some groupie and posting that awful pic from the Apple thing he did a few years ago (We all know that pic) |

Hmm, yeah, good point. I didn't think about it from that angle. Still, people can be curious and speculating all they want, but he still deserves his privacy, and so do those who might be entangled with him - just because they might be dating the guy, doesn't mean they're interested in being a part of the circus that is his life or his career. I date a man because I love them, not their career. Their career is just what they do for a living. And if my partner's career encroached on the privacy of our relationship, I think I would feel personally threatened.
Honestly, I have no idea how Kim could stand it, I'm in awe she coped with it for so long. It's no wonder she had so many difficulties dealing with it. If he does get into any other relationship, I feel sorry for whoever he's dating, and I'd feel sorry for the both of them that their relationship would feel like it no longer belonged to them. Especially nowadays, where I think Em has realized that putting his private life out there and just so much as mentioned those he loves, has caused them issues that have followed them ever since. I mean, there's people who feel like they are "entitled" to see the girls, or the media is entitled to know Kim's depression issues, or of Dawn's death, or even their graduation and school achievements. It's insane and ridiculous, and I think if I were him, I'd had moved planets by now. But there's still people out there (who I have had the unfortunately bane of running into over recent years) who feel entitled to know who, when, or where his next relationship is, and then STALK that person.
To live like that would be terrifying.

In additional thought though, I am 100% convinced that there is a hate-filled track in Em's vault after that bullshit MGK pulled. It will never be heard or released, I'm sure, but I would bet my own life that such a recording exists.
And I still get pissed whenever MGK whines about being "industry blacklisted." I certainly wouldn't be promoting him on my blog because of it, that's for damn sure.

Not that I think they would have stayed together if he didn't become famous but without a doubt she had an entirely different outcome because of it. Their kids as well, whether that is a blessing or curse depends on who you are asking I guess. If it came down to it though if I had to choose between knowing who he is with and what he kids are doing vs hearing new music I will always choose to hear new music. So if he has to shut everything else off from the fans he has every right to it. He doesn't owe us anything after all. |

Also wanted to add that Em has proved these past few years that he can have it this way. Heck even Janet Jackson proved that you can still have a career and a private life. She was married for like 10 years before the fans knew anything about it, and then the only way it came out was she filed for divorce. Em has raised his kids in private, they seem to be very well adjusted compared to other celeb kids, so kudos to him. I think he has found a balance he can live with.

Em doesnt really need to say he is gay to get people to stop speculating about his life because honestly he is already one of the most private celebs ever. Dude could be married with more biological kids to a woman or cuddling with his boyfriend right now and none of his fans are the wiser. Em mastered his privacy pretty damn well. Kudos to him. Everyone already knows my stance on his sexuality lol and I know people get mad when I speculate (even though everything else seems to be fair game so whatever haha) but yeah whatever he is doing or whoever he is seeing I hope he is happy. Royce's happy birthday message seems to indicate that he is happy so that is good  I really want an Em album now though. I am crossing my fingers that we get one before the end of the year. I hope he chills on the yelling flow though. I wonder if he does it cuz his voice lost some smoothness from it...maybe his vocal chords are getting a bit rough. Happens to singers.. I also wonder what route he is going to take....what is he going to talk about?  I NEED MUSIC RIGHT NOW MARSHALLLLLL!!!!!!! |

Oh, completely agree with you on the yelling part, and honestly, if I am allowed to bitch about my wants for the new album, here:
MAKE YOUR WORDS COUNT! Seriously, it's wonderful that he has fun mashing up syllables and seeing how many word acrobatics he can do with them, but he's not making sense with them. They don't really *mean* anything. Sure, once in a while we might get a song with him staying on topic that lasts more than 6 bars of a verse, but he used to be able to tell entire stories, to weave and create characters and words that told tales and no, I'm not just talking Stan, here, either. Not just an explosion of words and language that rhymed. What is the point of creating a song when it's not saying anything? When it's just yelling off beat about nothing to really think about except how you squashed the words together?
Some of the tracks on Shady XV worked well, such as Die Alone (a favorite of mine, actually, it reminds me of someone) But it's stuff like Rap God, or Vegas, that are just boasting his technical work, without much point to them.
I want an album with stuff like Beautiful Pain, or hell, I'll even take one like The Reunion (minus the Royce feature and the horrible title, but that's a whole other story). I mean, even if he's yelling, I'll put u with it just to hear something worth listening to.
I hate the yelling, yes, but what I hate more is when it's not actually saying anything for him to even be yelling about. And he seems to just be trying to work in as many names that can work with puns (some of them REALLY bad puns, too) and honestly...name-dropping has also been in his work, yes, but at least they kind of had a purpose with what he was talking about within the verse.

This freestyle was crazy. The flows in the second half of it are crazy insane. It's like he was rapping to a beatless beat but making it sound musical just by the crazy things he did with his voice. He sounded like a spinning top in in all the lines wth the "ill" sound. He went off on the right people this time--all the people who committed crimes against society but got off scott free. I loved the menacing, cartoonish, futuristic backdrop sounds. Em is just too damn good and freaking smart. Like how in the hell does he know about a Hellenistic war and how this relates to the Headless Horseman? He's brain is full of facts. I think he must do some reading. Maybe he reads the encyclopedia for fun too? If he'd dropped this freestyle on BET, can you imagine the reception it would get? People would be losing their shit. I am stoked to hear what he's got cooking up for that new album. Just hope it's not overly Slim Shady this time (as this freestyle seems to implicate), but whatever he's doing, it's going to be GOOD. :-D

I gave the song a few more listens and I realized I didn't give him enough credit for his wordplay when I first heard it. You got to appreciate the effort and creativity it takes to string words together like that. I wonder if he got inspired by Nicki Minaj's recent freestyle, it got a lot of attention on social media.
While I prefer songs that tell a story and evoke emotions, it's nice to know that he still has fun with rhymes. I take it as a sign that he is in good spirits. If I can be picky though, I don't think it's up to par with his freestyles from the SSLP/MMLP era in terms of shock value. Or maybe it's because this style is a bit played out?
I usually don't pay too much attention to the flow because I don't like to dissect the technical aspect of a song (it kind of takes away from its magic imo) but I see your point about the yelling and now that's all I hear lol
