About him never being seen: I have heard he uses fake beards and wigs when he goes out. He's rich af, maybe he's got a prosthetic face that he wears. I am much too poor to live in Em's neighborhood but being in Michigan I hear second or third hand gossip about him once and awhile and it's always the same: somebody's friend saw him shopping but didn't try to approach him because a giant scary looking dude they figure is security is not so subtly pretending to be minding their own business a couple of feet away. Shades of Howard Hughes if EMs wearing disguises! He must look even more obvious. I mean, really...Must be why Mariah wore that goatee when she was impersonating EM in her "Obsessed" video. EM may have been masquerading in get-ups for years now for all we know. I actually don't see anything wrong with this. If this is the only way he can live a somewhat normal life, disguise it up. It's what I would do if I was famous and wanted to be normal for a day or so. I imagine he can't go do any normal things with his kids like go to the movies, bowling, the mall, etc. If wearing a disguise allows him to do that, go for it!!! |

Like I said, "Shades of Howard Hughes" because what other really big celeb dresses up in disguise?! Not Mick Jagger, Keith, nor Sir Paul, Kayne, Jay Z, Dre, or even Bieber. EM is now justifiable qualified to be called an "eccentric." Loving it, tcat ! But this is the life, the reality, EM has created for himself. Not what the public has made him. |

How do you know Mick Jagger, Keith, Sir Paul, Kayne, Jay Z, Dre, or even Bieber never dress up in disguises (actually I think Bieber has tried using a disguise)? They are in disguises, so you wouldn't know it is them. They're not going to tell you they wear disguises, then their fans will be looking of it, which defeats the whole purpose of the disguise. I'm not saying this is what Em does. I'm just saying that I would do it if I was famous, so i don't blame him if he does. He has mentioned many, many times how much he misses being a nobody and being able to do normal stuff. So if wearing a disguise in public allows him some normalcy, I don't think that makes him "eccentric'. |

I hope he doesnt look ridiculous. Sometimes a costume might draw even more attention. Like "who is that dude whose chin is coming off...or that dude who is wearing like ten layers of clothing in 90 degree weather.." I cant find the pic now but does anyone remember the get up he wore at the beginning of his career when he was trying to "disguise" himself? Lol it always makes me laugh cuz he is wearing sunglasses and like 3 layers of clothing. Like your just asking for attention then haha Also I know this wasnt him trying to disguise himself but it always cracked me up:  His poor body guard behind him is like "just one day Em...be fucking normal...*sigh.* lol Its weird to me though. Justin timberlake is pretty much as big as Em but we see him running in NYC or doing stuff without making it a big deal...I wonder why with celebs like Britney and Em they just cant. I wonder if it has to do with their team you know? Anyway Im still laughing at his bodyguard's face..  "time to get back into the car Em....no you are not amusing me" :6z |

Exactly, everyone is glued to their cellphones these days, it's shocking that we barely ever get sneak shots of him. That's why it's easy to assume that he lives a hermit life. But maybe he really does blend in the crowd with hats and hoodies and has a semi normal life... Who am I kidding? Here is how his typical routine probably goes like: he gets up, goes to the studio, goes back home, runs 3000 miles on the treadmill, showers with bleach, orders in, watches sports or replays his favorite movies for the 1,000,000th time, busts out his old porn tapes that he probably still watches on his VCR, masturbates and goes to bed.  I'm joking but until I see proof that he goes out I'm going to stick to my theory. I mean, do you see how people go wild when he makes an appearance, it's hard to believe that we wouldn't hear about him being out and about. Someone needs to hire a private investigator to get to the bottom of this lol Edit: Rick Rubin pretty much spilled the beans in his interview about Em. He said the guy doesn't have a life outside of music. I mean I am pretty sure Em spilled the beans about himself on that. I really think Em likes to be by himself. I understand. Even though I like to be around close friends I also need time to myself (a lot of time actually haha) but I think Em seems to take it to extreme. wasnt it obie who said out of everyone in the shady camp the one person who would be by himself reading a book would be Em? Also most people that have met him, like other celebs, have said he is shy and a little awkward. Idk I kind of think Em is kind of like this with his friends in real like at 2:57: Like I think they can be joking and if something gets said that touches Em the wrong way he will let them know with a stare or a bitchy remark and then change the subject. Almost like a warning. Problem is i doubt his friends know what pisses him off sometimes..i dont think even Em knows honestly. But he did say that the littlest things used to set him off to the point of him beating people up. I am sure he is a lot more in control of his anger now but I still think he is touchy at times and his friends kind of have to be careful in certain situations. Even Em said Proof had to take breaks from Em after tours because "he can be a bit much." I remember a girl on live journal told me that she and her friends saw him one time at a club time and if i recall correctly someone said something or did something and she said he gave the scariest stare. Like daggers and they all backed up slowly hahaha. They didnt do anything wrong but something else pissed him off. However, she met him a few times and most of the times she said he was nice. So I am just saying i think he has his moments and his stare can be pretty intimidating lol. Dude is from Detroit after all. I dont think his attitude will every leave him haha Yeah he's definitely an introvert and fame has pushed him to isolate himself even more. I see what you mean about his reaction to Royce's comment. Although I will say I thought Royce was a bit insensitive, doesn't he know Em grew up poor? Stuff like that makes me dislike Royce even more, ugh he is so full of himself. I agree, it reminds me of this video of Cristiano Ronaldo, nobody could recognize him with that beard so it's definitely doable. I bet the girl who turned him down in that video is beating herself up now lol It's actually interesting to see how people react when they realize he's a celebrity. That has to fuck up your mind. I guess it affects some celebs more than others. This video gives you a glimpse of it's like to be famous in a public place. When I see that, I don't blame Em for not wanting to be treated like a zoo animal. |

I love it when he gets proud of his jokes too tbh. i also love it when he feels like he needs to explain the genius of them during interviews haha And I agree. the one really fantastic thing about Em (and probably one of the reasons he is so successful) is that he is extremely self aware of his good and bad qualities. Which probably was very helpful when it came to battling. Like diss yourself before they could throw it against. However, even though he is self aware of his bad qualities I think they are way too hard for him to change. Or he just kept be fucked to I have always said this. I dont think I could last ten mins in a relationship with him. Dude seems to live in his own little world too much (and since I live me own little world too that would just be a really bad combo haha) and gets too paranoid/clingy and also seems to ghost people that he has conflicts with instead of trying to resolve them. |

Saw ur discussion about Em disguising...... and I found in 'The Way I Am' original lyrics sheet, he wrote a line that he didn't use, which is: "Fuck it I'm sick of duckin in public, I aint wearing this hat sunglasses & fake mustashe" which confirmed your theory it actually rhymes perfectly with the scheme, I believe he didn't use it cuz he didn't want to spell the beans maybe?
