Damn. All this talk and speculation about Em's private life just made me realize once more how little we see him or know about him anymore. He is a total and complete mystery, holed up in Detroit... never spotted in public, never photographed, mute, absent, invisible and almost non-existent. He's cut out most everybody from his solitary life it seems. And when he does emerge for a public performance, his face is shrouded with his hoodie/ hat combo. If he's in public, it's only with the hat, hoodie, headphone triple combination. He doesn't talk about his personal life in interviews or in his lyrics anymore. And when he does, it's only a rehash of old stuff or about his fame. We know nothing about him now. Nothing at all. Actually, he's told us nothing for years and years. It's really sad for his fans. And I'd think sad for him as well. Like he says in Goodbye Hollywood--he's like a little boy trapped in a bubble--can't adapt..." And he says the same kind of thing on My Life. He's so smart, insightful and self reflective that he knows what is going on. But that hasn't led him to do anything different. In fact, if anything, it has just gotten worse over time. :-(

willowmoonblood, I noticed that too about Royce and Denaun's new studio and it made me sad. I mean that's great for Royce and Denaun, but to me it seems even they are distancing themselves from Em--or maybe it's the other way around. I also don't like how Royce said in his most recent interview that he was "not so sure about that anymore" when asked if there was going to be a new BME album. In past interviews, he's always said--sure, it's a possibility.

Exactly, I wish he still had Proof, someone who could tell it like it is, who wasn't scared of falling out with Em and getting thrown out of the gravy train. That's a true friendship. I think Kim also had that role in his life before the second divorce. She certainly wasn't afraid of calling him out on his bullshit. Maybe that's why he couldn't let go of the relationship for so long, she was the only woman who could be real with him and didn't care that he was Eminem. It's hard to imagine that any woman that he meets now would be so blunt with him. I really hate that he surrounds himself with yes men and enablers. I mean for God's sake, his tour manager Marc Labelle (who I think still works for Shady) was his drug distributor early on in his career and I wouldn't be surprised if he helped supply Em during his heavy drug phase. Could you imagine if Em hadn't survived his drug overdose? His death would have been on their conscience because they did nothing to help him. I get that you can't force an addict to stop using but morally it's pretty fucked up to stand by and cover up for someone while they are slowly killing themselves. Obviously Em doesn't hold that against them because he takes full responsibility and he still has them around but I personally lost a lot of respect for Paul after everything came to light. Ultimately, Em is a grown man who makes his decisions but it seems like he doesn't have anybody to challenge him in his day to day life and it gives him free reign to act on his paranoia. I remember when Kim did her mini press tour after the divorce, she was talking about how he got so used to getting praises for his music that he expected that from everybody around him, even his family. You can tell it's true by how much his brother praises him on social media. You would expect siblings to bust each other's balls and not kiss each other's ass. Maybe they do have that relationship in private but something tells me even his own brother is afraid of expressing himself around him. I'm totally extrapolating here lol but that's the impression I get. I think the only people who can get him out of his bubble are his kids but even that is doubtful. I just hope he doesn't end up like Michael Jackson who lived in a fantasy world most of his life because he couldn't deal with the fame. I feel since Nate is basically the only blood relative around Em still he knows to walk a fine line. I mean Em has cut everyone else off. I wonder what Denaun and Royce's everyday relationship is with him. I figured they hung out in the studio with him but then I seen they have basically built a new studio they call "Heaven" so I assume they do not have 24/7 access to Em's studio unless they are working on something with him. Thought I just had..... I wonder if all those collabs we heard about that have never been released were because they didn't run them through Paul first? Somehow LL got in touch with Em got the verse and then Paul was like hold up I didn't approve this. Lol I remember a while back royce said that he isn't even allowed in the studio when Em is making a new album. This was around BME days. I honestly think Em is a moody fucker at times. I think he knows it haha

Marvon was the only one who knew how to quote the question asked, so you never knew which person was answering which question, Lmao. But I'm pretty sure it was clear it was Royce answering that. Lemme look and I'll let you know if I can find it.

I agree Paul is great at not over saturating Em but at the same time at what cost to em's everyday normal functioning as a human being? I wish Em still had Proof. He seemed to be one of the few that brought back Em to normalcy you know? Didn't cater to his bubble like world like everyone seems to do around him. He didn't make things a bigger deal than they have to be which is one of em (and his teams) problem. Exactly, I wish he still had Proof, someone who could tell it like it is, who wasn't scared of falling out with Em and getting thrown out of the gravy train. That's a true friendship. I think I remember hearing that only from that bodyguard that wrote the tell all book. I didn't put much weight on what he had to say.

I don't think they are...it just appears that Royce and Denaun don't spend as much time at Em's studio and even bought their own. What does Em do with that big ole studio if other people can't work in it LOL...I mean I am sure there are more than one recording rooms, does he lease them out? Maybe Paul made him start charging Denaun and Royce I wonder if Em really is working on a new album he distanced himself from them to try and control leaks...I mean wasn't there a rumor that Royce leaked all those unrelased songs to Koolo?

Why would he distance himself from Denaun? Denaun has produced records on every Em album. And Royce seems to be pretty loyal to Em the last 5 or so years. This is just strange. I didn't know that Denuan and Royce bought their own studio. When did this happen and how did I miss this? I can always count on Shady Campers to keep me up to date. Thx guys!
