Well, it's no secret I'm on HHS, which apparently has only gone kaput for certain people. Guess my life will certainly be more productive without it. Lol. I also unfollowed Paul on Twitter, and I feel better already. Every time he posts something, I get pissed because it is never about Eminem--and then he proceeds to ignore all the comments which are only about Eminem, asking for his whereabouts. I doubt Paul is some crazy control freak, but I'm guessing he probably feels overly protective of Em, especially because of Em's past drug problems and spells of severe depression. But I still really hate Paul right now because of how he's treating the fans.

Nothing to be sorry about, matty. Just such a strange dialogue...Because the "Stuart" slant never went anywhere. I don't think "Stuart" exists!

Does anyone watch The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt when a group of girls aka "The Indiana Mole Women" are kidnapped and kept in an underground bunker by this crazy cult leader who told them the apocalypse happened and Earth is destroyed? That's Em. We need to rescue him so he can have hilarious shenanigans in NYC like Kimmy.

While I do believe that Paul is basically doing Em's bidding. It is also feasible that Em really doesn't have a clue and thinks Paul and company should control every aspect of his life. I am sure at the beginning a lot of what Em did was based on what the record company told him to do, after all he really had no weight in the industry. After 8 Mile and TES he had weight, but who really was there to tell him? Dre? Jimmy Ivoine? They both have a interest in him money wise to keep doing what they want him to do. He really doesn't' seem to have any friends in the industry that has as much success as he does that also does not have a vested interest in him money/career wise.

I think we can all agree that Paul controls the business side of it all and part of the artistic vision. In interviews, Em always gives him credit for hooking him up with certain beats, producers or artists. So in that sense, Paul is a buffer between Em and the rest of the industry. I think it's just convenience for Em because he only wants to be involved with the creative process.
Ultimately, Em decides what projects he wants to move forward with when he is directly involved. For all these other side projects, he just lets Paul use his name so they can be more profitable and that includes Shade45. If it was all up to Paul, I'm sure he would have him touring/releasing music non-stop.
As far as his personal life, I don't think if he has handlers controlling him but I can see why people would come to that conclusion based on how he lets Paul manage his career. If you think about it, he went from an overbearing mother (she would even harass him at work according to his friends and co-workers) to a bossy girlfriend/wife (Kim admitted it in her 2nd divorce interviews). It's not a stretch to think that part of him likes being told what to do or is at least used to it.
Do you guys think Em is a pushover? The way he described how he could cut people out of his circle if they questioned his sobriety while he was using or the way people seem to walk on eggshells around him kind of makes me question it.

I think he is a grown-ass man who pays people to take care of things he does not want to deal with. He raises his daughters, works on the projects he wants to, dates from time to time, and overall just leads his life. I think he has put a life together that works for him and he is probably pretty happy. Which is probably negatively affecting his writing (IMO). He used to write from a place of anger and he is not as connected to that anymore. I wish he could tap into the anger in politics, Black live matter, the economy, you know look outside his life and be a champion for those of us who are left behind and are pissed about it. JMO.
