Just curious...but has anyone here ever tried to ask him out? What? Lol... I donât think anybody here has that much of an âinâ with him and I donât think thereâs many people in the world who could directly ask that man a question đ why do you ask? No big reason...I just asked out of curiosity thatâs all âşď¸

TL;DR Even though Eminem had a similar reputation as a poor role model as Britney did and had a personal crisis around the same time and over the same sort of things (substance abuse, fucked up family trying to get at his money, overmanagement, constant media circus esp about personal relationships), he was treated much better than she was and never shamed in the same way as Britney. We all let go of 2007-2008 and let Em move on. This was not Em's fault at all but is still unfair and really shows how men and women are treated differently.
Novel:
Did anyone watch the Britney Spears documentary on Hulu? Moments that stood out imo:
Everyone saying Jamie Spears is a creep who cares more about money than Britney ("One day she's gonna be so rich, she gonna buy me a boat").
The creepy male interviewer who commented about her breasts The creepy press conference when they asked if she was still a virgin
Creepy Diane Sawyer guilting her over Justin
Justin creepily laughing and saying "yeah, I did that shit" on the radio when asked if he "fucked Britney Spears".
The politician creep who said that as a parent she wanted to shoot Britney.
The whole creepy conservatorship thing and how she basically gave up on fighting it and said her only request was that it be anyone except her father (and how no one listened to her and her father became conservator).
Everything, really. And it got me to thinking...as bad as it was/is for Em with the media...right around the same time as Britney he went thru something similar with his mental health and society gave him sort of a hero's edit about overcoming adversity and addiction and forgave everything he ever said or did that was cruel. Which is fine. He should get credit for recovering and evolving. But no one conspired to have him committed or forced into a conservatorship that is usually reserved for people with extreme disabilities or dementia. If he had shaved his head or damaged a car in a rage it would have made headlines but no one would have tried to have him institutionalized. We as a society will not let go of Britney shaving her head because it is sooo crazy, yet aside from Stans I think most people have totally forgotten Em went to jail for pistol-whipping John Guerrera. Britney hit someone's car with an umbrella. Em hit someone's head with a gun.
In that way, Em is a lot luckier than Britney. Thanks for listening to my TED Talk.

Britney hit someone's car with an umbrella. Em hit someone's head with a gun. In that way, Em is a lot luckier than Britney. Thanks for listening to my TED Talk. Iâve always said Em had a similar story to Britney. Poor family (although Em went through more abuse as a child and just had an overall worst childhood than Britney), super stardom, toxic family, leaches, similar personalities (imo) etc. and then a big break down which led both Britney and Em to appear more reserve and become way more secluded after they came back. Their life stories are literally parraells besides the conservatorship and the other things u mentioned such as the sexism Britney went through. However Em still came back different and his team literally protects him probably almost as much as Britneyâs team protects her. Even Anderson Cooper said he was the most difficult to interview because of his team being so protective. I just think his newer fans donât see the big difference because they werenât there when Em wasnât as secluded. Now yes he doesnât have his rights taken away and yes the public was WAY worst to Britney than they were to Em (I can go on for years about Britney but since this isnât a Britney board I wonât haha but Jesus society and the industry destroyed that girl) but at least Em is self aware and admits to his mistakes which is all we can ask for I guess. But I think the main difference with Britneyâs team and Ems team is image. Britneyâs âteamâ doesnât care if the public see her as not in control -thatâs never really been her image (tho now that seems to be changing with the freebritney movement)-fans just wanted to see her âhappyâ and thatâs easy to portray thro social media etc. however Ems image that they sold is the artistic genius (which he is) who is also super in control of his career etc (which I donât think is exactly true-I just think his team tried to convince him heâs in control) so they portray that image to the public etc Idk I just think there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that we donât know about. But I will always say and always find it insane that they were both two superstars who blew up around the same time-biggest stars in the world and then broke down mentally so quick and came back super secluded and guarded tho both of them seems to be slowly getting out of their shells recently especially Em but thatâs probably because he has his actual freedom unlike Britney ETA: thatâs why i always thought Em didnât love the revival era because it was so label driven and his management was super involved. I almost feel like kamikaze was Em rebelling a little bit and tired of taking the labels advice especially after all that SH drama

We don't know how much abuse Britney really suffered through as a child and she is still getting abused by her family, especially her own father. I also think that "Britney out of control" was the goal of her team to get her under their control in the first place. No one in her team really tried to clear her image up when Justin Timberlake went out of his way to smear it. Britneys story is a lot more fishy too. Em still is his own person, Britney is not and she got painted as insane in the media and by her father. I just hope that she can break free and maybe recover, even if it happens slowly. Just get out of the public for a while and get her life back and under control. I don't want to hear about her passing anytime soon. I wish her all the best.

No but I followed Britney pretty hard core almost as much as Em and considering Em was beaten into a coma and moved 17 times and had a single mom with mental health issues it just seems like Em had a tougher up bringing-plus growing up in Detroit in the 70s/80s?? But yeah who knows really. He also had NO family when it came to navigating fame. He pretty much was on his own. but I love Britney I just didnât go into her shit as much because itâs not a Britney board. But yeah she deserves her freedom dude. It never should have gotten that far. Her dad is evil I was just saying Britney and Em have a similar story surprisingly

I am not even a Britney fan and didn't follow her career at all. I just read a lot about her case the last couple of days and maybe she suffered through even more abuse than we already know of ,idk. I also agree that Em did not have anyone to help him navigating fame, but Britney only had sharks around her which isn't better in my opinion. It's true tho, that their story is kinda similar.

I remember we had a board that was basically the same thing this one that got taken down a few years back and I defended Britney a lot and some ppl were so mean to her even back then. Iâm glad ppl are seeing what she was really dealing with at a very young age tbh. She deserves to be happy and get her freedom back for sure â¤ď¸

She's such a poor woman and I hope things will get better for her now that she has full public support. Well, mostly as there are still a few who think that she's just nuts.
