Did anyone listen to episode 3 with james larese? Saw the title said ”larese sharing the best and worst moments of working with eminem” and just curious what those worst moments were? Did they have something to do with Em specifically? Don’t wanna listen 1h 19min of paul 😂 That description intrigued me as well lol that’s the only one I listened to outside of the Em and Denaun ones. They talked about how Em shoots can be complicated because of the locations, logistics, weather conditions and time constraints, nothing to do with Em directly. The interesting tidbits: James perceived that Em was sizing him up on the first shoot by staring at him intensely. It can kind of goes with the idea that Em is not super open/trusting with new people. They also talked about how Em sometimes has very specific requirements for videos (for example the blood bath in 3AM) and that he is very creative and willing to do stunts himself. Funny bit is that he memorized the Chris D’Elia fake freestyle for the final segment of the Homicide video.
James did say he loves working with the shady team and that they are all great people but he is saying that about a prestigious repeat client so take it for what it’s worth lol. |

I thought the concept of this podcast was to discuss Em's career between CC and CC2? Yet, in the Denaun interview they only talked about the time period before Em was signed, maybe that's why it was a bonus episode?

I felt like he was trying to get Denaun to low-key diss Eminem when he asked him did he feel like he was rigid when they first started working together and that was not even what Denaun was saying. He was trying to tell Em to slow down when he raps. He even said he felt Marshall sound better than Treach at the time. |

It was mix between back in the day and the stuff they did this year Tho I will say it was wayyy better than the other episodes imo. Paul wasn’t screaming and Dennis has interesting stories especially from back in the day. I enjoyed this episode besides the few eye rolls I gave Paul lol I hope Dennis and Ems label steps up a bit more the next era tbh. Paul def is a great asset to Em but he makes such rash decisions and trusts wayyy too many ppl who kiss his ass and they take advantage of him and em. Royce used Paul’s name to threaten ppl since like 2000 🙄 he needs a bigger team to prevent that shit and make him think clearer imo. I think Em just isn’t the type to kiss everyone’s ass so when ppl like Royce, and James larese and Skylar, etc come and kiss Paul’s ass he jumps into every stupid idea proposed to him lol. But yeah originally his speech was going to be written by a writer with Ems input of course where Em thanked everyone that was part of his career by name and then incorporated the importance of hip hop but the first draft just seemed inauthentic and not Em and Em was worried about ppl being mad if he forgot to thank them or soemthing so Paul thought of the list which imo was perfect. It was so Em and he was genuinely excited to give the speech 🥺🥺🥺 Stan’s just want authentic and happy Em. Less is def more with him Speaking of weirdos that I hate, who circle Ems camp, that James larese dude is doing a no jumper interview too. I don’t trust him tbh. Like I said his brother is huge into NFTs and he just seems very Hollywood to me. We shall see how much he name drops Em during the interview 👀 And Adam (the guy who owns no jumper) has been posting stuff from hailies podcast on his instrgam. It was suggested that marketing wise they like the less is more approach with his career because never wanted to overexpose etc. Also, he’s never been into some of these events and/or doing things he might not want to but the difference between now and then is at his age/status - he doesn’t have to and could be picky. Touring is EXHAUSTING I don’t think ppl get it. And Em takes it very serious and it’s not like Denaun helps him a lot on stage. Em clearly is struggling with some kind of anxiety issues lately and imo I think he is tired of being surrounded by a bunch of ppl asking him for stuff and touring would basically make him trapped with a bunch of ppl like that for months. So I get it. And honestly I hate stressed out Em and fans are SUPER selfish. They don’t look at the bigger picture with em like fans do with Taylor and like Britney. They are just demanding. I think it’s cuz he’s a guy tbh Personally however I do think Em is thinking about retiring just bc prior when retirement rumours came about Em was very vocal that he wasn’t. Now he is just kind of says he wants to focus on rap and when Paul brought up retirement on his episode of Paul pod Em was just like “yeah..” instead of being super adamant he wasn’t retiring like he was around 2010 And now it was more of his team running around saying he isn’t. And even during this Paul pod episode Paul and Dennis said numerous times Em ain’t leaving the house if he doesn’t have to. They never addressed that before. I mean all fans know he is very selective of doing things now a days but this was pretty much them publically confirming it for the time from my recollection I think Em is in the stage that he is gonna drop music for fun and do one or two interviews from his home via zoom and maybe a magazine interview and then ride his bike into the sun set in the next 5-10 years I do think if Paul didn’t bring in all those randos the last ten years Em wouldn’t have been so stressed out and would still have been more willing to do public stuff but I personally think shady records and certain drama/ppl took a huge toll on him mentally. All those ppl around him made him feel like he was always doing something wrong and couldn’t relax or be himself so it’s easier to hide behind the scenes or at his house in between things That’s jmo tho And honestly I’m fine with that cuz again I just want him to be relaxed and happy and not being used by everyone around him who has a pulse tbh |

Him stepping out of the public eye has been happening for quite some time, I mean less talk show appearances, interviews with people he knows personally only, short and strange telephone interventions in Shade 45, a few minutes at his restaurant opening, etc I don't think he's going to retire from making music he said that it is the only thing he can do well lol, but I get the feeling that we're going to see his face only when he feels like doing something interesting or a favour to someone.
In the article he wrote for XXL magazine he mentioned Redman and how he wanted a career like that, respect from his peers and fame but not to the level he eventually got. He was very impressed by Kendrick's album that he felt the need to tweet, so the huger and passion to compete with other rappers is still there. He's just not bothered by the other shit that goes along with being a huge star .
