So nobody wanted to talk about „Six Degrees of Separation“, I‘m forced to assume its cuz y‘all are jealous… or I should have just put it in the misc. thread.
But, I now have another question… questions.
Have you heard of Aphantasia? Do you have aphantasia?
Is it possible Eminem is so good with words because he has Aphantasia?

I don't believe EM suffers from impaired imagination; hence aphantasia. In fact, I think EMs highly enlightened in this realm. But, instead, EM may have asperger syndrome which this Board has discussed before.

No I don’t think he has that! Hasn’t he said he can visualize how he wants his music videos to look? At least at the beginning of his career

Why couldn’t he be relating his experience in the world directly to words which express his thoughts rather than mental pictures? And I’ve seen some of the asperger’s chats… but nothing’s really stuck… not to say those views are wrong! Your comment seems to imply you no longer have interest in discussing the possible ways Eminem’s brain works, and if that’s so… 👍

Aphantasia has just grabbed my attention lately, and it seems like those folks are better at visualizing words… and I thought of the ultimate word master… of course

I am actually aphantasic! That doesn't mean I have no imagination it just means I can't visualize in my mind - like if I close my eyes and try to picture an apple I see nothing. I can't visualize objects, words, people - nothing. BUT I do have an imagination, and I *know* what things look like - if someone said "visualize an apple" I don't "see" an apple but I know they are round, red or green, with a stem, etc. Growing up I always assumed things like "picture yourself on a beach" was just rhetorical - I had no idea people actually can do that until a few years ago! There are also levels of phantasia (being able to visualize) - some people can visualize really, really well (hyperphantasia) and others can visualize almost nothing, but still a little (hypophantasia) - my daughter's bf can't visualize objects but he can visualize words so he doesn't completely lack a "mind's eye". His best friend doesn't see "pictures", his mind's images are more like sketches. My sister is also aphantasic but she can "visualize" house decor and setups, etc - she doesn't "see" images of them but her brain can still tell what would look good together. Its a spectrum and not well understood yet.
Anyway, as to Em - who knows? There are artists who are aphantasic but others are not. It would be interesting to know how his mind works either way
