Here's some news that he will be releasing his album this fall. Marshall Mathers is back in the studio... Eminem is reportedly set to release his ninth album later this year, after previously teasing that he was back in the studio. The rap icon, who previously released The Marshall Mathers LP 2 in 2013, will release his latest album this autumn, according to industry insiders HITS Daily Double. Yeah, all the other news outlets are just recycling the same info based on the same article (from Hits Daily Double).

iirc he released Survival mid-August and Berzerk late August in 2013. So, if say we're getting an October release, then a single may be in our very near future.

supposedly more confirmation the album is done and will be released this fall. Also, Em isn't changing labels. Guess who's back, back again.
This fall, Eminem is expected to release his ninth studio album, according to HDD. Additionally, a Shady Records representative has confirmed with DJBooth that Eminem has completed his work on the album.
The currently untitled, impending release will be Eminem's first full-length project since The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which was released in November 2013.
Eminem is one of a handful of big-name artists expected to release a new album before the end of 2017. This list also includes Taylor Swift and Sam Smith.
Earlier this month, Paul Rosenberg, Eminem's longtime manager and the co-founder of Shady Records, was named CEO of Def Jam. Despite taking on the new position, which includes moving Shady Records operations over to the Def Jam offices, Rosenberg's cash cow will not be changing labels. Despite sharing the same parent company (UMG), Eminem will remain with Aftermath and Interscope.

And I wasn't a huge fan of Shady XV or his songs from Southpaw. I mean, they were just ok. What if his new album is more like that and people hate it? He will definitely retire for sure.

I just got a bit of anxiety... 😳 What if he has a farewell track on it, like as the last track? What if he says on this album that it's his last? Announce his retirement? Pretty please Marsh, don't!
No no, I'm staying positive! The forever hopeful stan, lol! Never had a doubt in my mind about this album, why start now?

Do you think we might get something tomorrow since it's Friday??! Gimmie gimmie gimmie It seems to be either Tuesdays or Fridays that Em does stuff. But no, I'm not expecting anything to happen before the shows. I think the most we'll get is maybe a hint about the album during or after the shows. And then more of nothing, haha.

hi, everyone!
I used to have an account at the former forum, though I wasn't very active. Today, I was at an Oasis forum and someone mentioned Eminem, so I had to find out what happened to shadycamp. Nice to know there is a new forum!
Anyway, on the Oasis forum, the guy said that Eminem's album would probably come after October, because October is the cut off point for the Grammys and Em wouldn't want to compete with JayZ and Kendrick for best album. You guys think that makes sense?

Em on side projects on features these days in the last 7 years is mostly bad or average, I wouldn't worry too much because of those.

You guys think that makes sense? Welcome back @luk21! Personally, I don't think EM gives a rat's ass about the Grammys. He's all about the artistic side of his craft and that's why there are big gaps between his albums Not unlike a lot of artists, but this Board isn't about them. And, as you have read, this Board cuts EM no slack.

I think he used to not give a rats ass, but now that he's older and more of a 'legend', he wants to keep that status and winning Grammy's is part of that equation. Plus, he seems to be super competitive. remember when he was going to go after Kanye and Lil Wayne because they were putting out good stuff and he couldn't write shit? He wants to be the best and that includes being recognized as the best.
