I can try to fix a first single Since both my car and the place I teach my dance classes at, are so old they only have CD players, no mp3, I have to burn CDs with the songs I want. So everytime I find a cool song I put it to this waiting list to be burned to a CD, and when the list has enough songs for one CD, I burn it, lol, feels very old school So anyways, sometimes I wait with burning my CD, e.g. if I'm waiting for a new single but then give up because it feels like the single is never coming, and usually Em releases new music right after I've burned my CD! So if I wanna listen to his new song in my car I'd either have to burn that song alone to a CD, or wait for more songs to fill up a new CD (my car doesn't like RW CDs either of course...). So I actually have a CD that's been waiting for over 3 weeks already, so why not just burn it and maybe Em will release his first single as soon as it's burned, lol I thought this was funny. Lmaaaoooo!!! Hahaha that made my day! That pic suits that text perfectly!

I don't expect any news until then. not bad My worst fear is he's going to do what he did with Lolla... disappear for another 18 months afterwards. It kind of makes these brief public appearances tinged with a sense of sadness. Because at least for me, when we have no more planned events to look forward to (which is 95% of the time nowadays), I can't help wonder if it's going to be the last time we see him for another 6 months or longer. I don't know, there is always a sense of pending loss with him that makes it hard to fully enjoy his brief and rare forays into the outside world. You never know when it's going to be his last.

I don't blame him though, if I was him, I'd be too lazy to do anything too.

I think Em's problem is he doesn't really have anything to say anymore. His last album was a lot or repeat of stuff he has already said. His music has always been fueled by his dysfunctional life and his life seems more stable now. He also has said he isn't going to publish songs about his family anymore. So what else does he have to say?
This is a problem that many artist run into as they progress in age. I think he has plenty to write about, but nothing that would appeal to young people. Hip Hop is still a fairly new genre compared to others and it still appeals mainly to the young. So there is nothing really that he can write about in his life currently that would appeal to the youth.

But I mean, he could do another horror core album, a gospel record, a political record, a record about anything if it's done artistically. And he could get more personal but speak through metaphors like he did on Relapse if he wants to disguise things. And human issues are human issues, regardless of the age of the audience. He doesn't need to worry about appealing to the younger generation. He already does. He attracts teenage fans all the time. He just needs to feel artistically inspired about any subject and it can become art. I mean, JayZ is older than Em and is still selling truckloads of music with his newest album. I don't think young people care about the age of the artist all that much honestly.

I'm sick of people saying Em isn't relevant anymore because of his age when the sheer amount of still popular people over 40 across all genres of music contradicts that

I agree with you but Em seems to be someone who likes his comfort zone and doesn't like to venture out of it, hence the reason why he keeps rehashing old theme's. It's not the age of the artist, it is the art. As artist age, their art will "age" with them. In other words, their art usually reflects where they are in their life at that time. Em would look pretty stupid doing Slim Shady stuff at this point in his career, which is what a lot of young people were attracted to - the rebelliousness of his music.

True, I just hope it's not more "should i retire', "I keep repeating myself", "fame is lonely and miserable", etc, or his out of date pop culture references that are more "Rap Dad" instead of "Rap God".

I assume that part of the reason it's taking so long is because he has been searching for stuff to talk about. I don't think he'll talk about it but Kim's situation over the past couple years could inspire content.

I don´t want to sound mean or against Kim (because I´m not) but I would like to hear a Kim inspire song from current times since they´re "ok" just to see what he would say

Em's life is (or more correct 'was' , since now he likes to hide under a rock) such a soap opera...
