It's a cutesy, forgettable song. So glad we got the freestyle before that. That would have been underwhelming after the long silence. Lol about the love letter. I guess Pink never gives up. Do you guys remember that Jennifer girl's book where she mentioned that Pink was trying to hook up with Em back in early 2000s and he was like "uh no thanks"? Matter of fact I think she wrote him a love letter back then too. I would take everything Jennifer says with a grain of salt She seemed to be pressed anytime Em communicated with a female The letter could have been a joke like this one and Em just didn't get it. Plus pink has been involved with her now husband for like ever.

Matter of fact I think she wrote him a love letter back then too. I still remember when he said he had gotten her Mizzundastood CD with an autograph and a fan letter from her, saying she loved him and let her know what he thinks of her CD. And he had just removed the letter and given the CD to Hailie for christmas or something ๐๐ lmao!! I love him too!

matty I agree, I don't believe a lot of the things she said but that seems like a weird coincidence. Maybe she was just trying to collab then too who knows. I don't think she was with her husband back then but could be wrong. Anyway, it doesn't really matter, I just remembered that anecdote and thought it was funny that she wrote him a love letter. She had already collab'ed with him before so I'm sure he would have returned the favor anyway. Won't Back Down is a great song and she's a great singer. dmx glad that you like it. Personally, I don't really care about how the public reacts to this song and how commercially successful it will be, or let's just say it doesn't influence my opinion about the song. I just want music that I connect to and that evokes real emotions in me. The Storm was so powerful that this pales in comparison, maybe it's too bubbly for me right now. I don't hate it but it's probably not going to make it to my playlist. Which is totally fine.

Maybe he's scared of her? Lol! Pink and Em back in the day just gives me Zolt vibes, but in a more positive way. ๐๐ Or like some kindergarten situation where this big, wild, loud girl, who always gets her way, has laid eyes on this tiny boy who she wants to play with! And he's scared of her and tries to ignore her, but eventually gives in because he's afraid of the consequences lol! ๐
So giraffes, owls, Pink... ๐

I think Pink wouldn't take any of EMs shit, he knows that, and he also knows she's one "Tough Cookie!" She's probably too strong of a woman for Emzy. Plus, I think Pink wears the pants in her marriage to Carey Hart. Sure, they've had their ups and downs, what married couple hasn't, but they have two beautiful children and have been married 11 years. Good for Pink! I really like her, but I'll pass on the song. Too weak for me...

Em needs someone who doesn't take his shit but at the same time will give him cuddles when he pouts He seems to be kinda clingy when it comes to relationships lol Also yeah pinks been with Hart for like ever I still think that song is adorable lol

I don't think Pink has ever been romantically attracted to Em, I think it has always been artistic. She has at least always talked about his lyrics and what a great rapper he is. I think she's drawn to his lack of fear for speaking his mind, and his clever, humorous rhymes.

I think maybe you guys are taking this all a little too seriously. Pink was clearly joking and probably exaggerating the truth for comedic effect. It's obvious she adores and respects him and his artistry. But I'm not sure it goes any deeper than that.
BTW, I love the song. It's super funny, catchy, and enjoyable. I enjoy it more each time I hear it. Em did some awesome singing (did you notice how he nailed all those high notes)? All the ad-libs were hilarious and his rapping was smooth. Plus I like Pink, her singing, and the beat. Me = A Happy Stan once again. :-D

I've had this song on repeat, all day, everyday since it was released! And I have it playing in my head all day at work, lol! I just love it! And I even caught my mom humming the chorus today!! Yes! Progress! Lol! ๐
The more I've listen to it, the more I just love all the extra little sounds Em is making in the background! E.g. the 'yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...' during the chorus, or his falsetto ''me fiiirst" lol! I'd love to hear this song without the vocals, and just the backing vocals ๐

I don't trust Jennifer but I trust her on this one. She said Pink send him a thank you note, saying he inspired her with her Misunderstood album, which I had and totally see the inspiration. It was a very personal album, I also think Christina's Stripped album was inspired by Eminem and a lot of other pop artist at the time! But that's a total different topic.
I think she loves and respect Eminem only on a artistic level now, but I have a feeling she had a little some for him back in 99/2000. But yes I also think she is a too strong of a woman for him and they are not a good fit and she probably realised it herself too pretty quickly but at first Em just looked like a very rebellious man, which probably attracted her, when in reality he is a softie.
I already said it on this board years ago but back in 2000, Pink was in Montreal and a VJ at MusiquePlus (Montreal version of MTV) asked her about her and Eminem, and she said how much she loved him but that he broke her heart. And then she started laughing and said "well I have a huge crush on him but I just think I'm not his type of girl" So this is another reason why I trust the Jennifer story on Pink. But I don't think she is attracted to him at all anymore. But still respect him as an artist and is probably nostalgic like some of us.
Her recent story about writing him a "love letter" for the collabo confirm it again to me. No i don't think this was a serious love letter lol, but just her being nostalgic about her crush about him in 2000 and all the years of just being a fan of him musically. Nothing more though.
