Hmm I haven't seen the episode of Cribs but I did hear that this was shot in his house. I don't know how true that is/was. Wasn't there rumblings that Lighters was filmed in his house too? And Mockingbird?

I don't think he ever did an episode of Cribs. I know 50 did, but don't recall Marshall ever doing one. I can't see him inviting camera's into his home. He is very protective of his privacy.

What, Marshall protective of his privacy?!! J/k.  Ok, maybe it wasn't Cribs, but some other show in the late 90s or early 2000s had his house in it. I don't always remember exactly what shows I watched 10+ years ago but I do remember the gist and I do remember it was in Eminem's house when he wasn't as reclusive as he is now. I don't think it was a full tour, just a scene or two. I'm 100% sure. I'll hunt around. |

I remember when he sold his first house he and Kim had (the one across the street from the trailer park), the new owners said it had shaggy purple carpet in it.

Haha I was just thinking about this the other day! I think they also said they had had the house for like 5 weeks and they were still cleaning... About the purple carpeting, could it have been for Hailie? Like in her room or something? I remember it was everywhere when Em got famous that Hailie's favorite color was purple. I just can't really picture Em living in a purple house if it wasn't for Hailie... ...although, wasn't one of his cars purple?  |

I don't think they gave it a make over for the Video. My guess would be it was like that when he moved in and that he really didn't change anything. You can see the kitchen in the booklet of TES and it's white (Wood) and not dark at all. Not all rooms were dark so. I was surprised how ugly Alaina's room was so. No, I am no Stalker but some Eminem fan page on Instagram posted a really old pic (from when Alaina was maybe 12) and it was ugly. She even wrote things on the wall and stuff.
I don't think that Em would change the look of his home for pics or a Video. In his book there was a pic of a shelf in his Office and he collected all kind of private stuff there.

Yeah but the TES booklet pics are taken in his house, and the When I'm gone video was filmed at his mansion. He bought the mansion in 2002 and the video was filmed in 2006 so I do believe he changed stuff there in those 4 years. And even if one room is dark doesn't mean all rooms have to be dark. The mansion kitchen is similar to the house kitchen but darker surfaces. (And roosters... Lol). And some pics I've seen from the mansion he has dark(ish)-yellow walls somewhere. And light beige somewhere else. And from the pics of the making of the When I'm gone video you can see they have taped the entire floor in one area, so very possible they moved some stuff to make it less personal. It's not like you see tons of little eminem dolls, wine bottles, books, CDs, Muhammad Ali stuff in his music video. |

To me it doesn't make a difference if it's the house or the mansion (I didn't even say what it was). Sure, he didn't just move in but maybe he liked it or didn't have any ideas to change stuff. I didn't like that style at all.
If he changed anything for the Video then it probably was pics of the Kids being removed.

No, I just meant that when you were talking about the kitchen in the TES booklet, you can't really compare that to the room in the WIG video since they are two different houses. And I know they have done lots of make overs in rooms when they filmed his music videos, the video makers have many times described how they've rented a place and then changed the couch and a table so you don't recognize the place, so I don't know why it would be so hard to do a make over in Em's house, e.g. add the chairs and the little table between instead of his own furniture? But maybe they didn't chamge anything. It was just a suggestion of a possibility. |

I just don't see any reason for a make-over. I mean he must have liked his home like it was otherwise he would have changed it. To me it's just not too private to let People see where my couch, armchair, table or whatever is in my home. I get when there are reality Shows (no matter if they are about famous people or not) and they blur Family photos that are in the Background. But what's so secret about a Couch.
