Who's the woman next to him? Even she towers over him. But I'm assuming all the guys with him are bodyguards.

tbh I don't like current Em stage moves. they seem non-sense and give him bad look imho. However, I love every 1999-2006 moves equally to his performance.. it was resonating with his music + had certain swag that is absent now. That been said, nowadays he gives his full soul w/ each performance vocally Yeah, he's kind of geeky onstage, but who cares IMO. That's just Em for you. He IS kind of a dork--he can't help himself, Lol. And as long as he doesn't go too overboard with the cringeworthy moves, it just adds to his charm I think. He was much better during Lolla this year; if you haven't watched any of those performances, I recommend it. He was great especially for the shows in Argentina and Chile. I think he may have gotten a little feedback and listened to it. Much better than the performances in late 2014. and I thought I'm the only who had this idea. Agree 100%, ... yea I noticed the Lollapalooza improvement and looking at it the way you described you're right. it adds charm. and the crowd already doesn't care and crazy for being in Em concert 2009 and 2014 were the worst.. glad he noticed it, however Recovery performances were awesome and powerful. The Argentina one is my favorite.... he seemed comfortable and powerful with the audience.. i miss March daily selfies and autograph pics

Nothing awkward about Em's stage moves there. I think dmx was referring to the ones later in the year--especially the ones after the Monster tour. Those are the ones I was thinking about anyway.

This was amazing, gets me hyped every time..
You can feel it, whenever Em beside 50 and especially Dre, he's fire..... I wish they are involved in 'Empanada'
also from 2014 loved Concert for Valor especially the hood tweet lol.
but as Kat mentioned I meant the ones w/ Rihanna .. where he does the wave moves, rabbit jumping, etc... they are even fun sometimes tbh lol .. just not among his best (which is high caliber)

He was winded and out of breathe and seemed more concerned with keeping his hoodie on than performing. Not his best performance.

awww I love his performances now a days! He is like the energizer bunny! At valor he did seem a bit sick- like he was losing his voice and him running around and hopping every two secs couldn't have helped but i think he just wanted to hype the crowd up as much as possible since it was a special performance. i think back in the day he had more "swag" haha (if thats the right term to use)...like he def was more smooth performing. But I think it had to do with drugs calming him down.Like it eased his anxiety to the point that it was probably easier but he def wasnt as excited to be there nor did he "lose himself in the music" (pun attended) as he does now. Now a days I really think he loves performing and seems to really get lost in the music to the point that he doesnt even realize he is getting so excited haha. It reminds me of this michael jackson performance. (I dont care for MJ as a person but he was great performer). At 8:18 the dude has to come and get MJO off the floor haha. i dont think MJ realized that he was on the ground I remember Em's Uncle said Em used to rock back and forth to music in the car really hard when he was a baby. I just think some people feel the music more and get lost in it. And it translates when he performs. trust me the Monster tour (i went to it) he was doing his silly moves but people were appreciating the whole thing. Also dmx omg lol I forgot about that tweet! I wish I could find it now

I think he was definitely ill during the Concert For Valor performance. He was mostly losing his voice I think. And then he went overboard with running around onstage trying to make up for the loss of his voice it seemed, Lol. He was clearly struggling though. Denaun did a great job though filling in literally every other word during Lose Yourself. I agree with everything you said about his older vs. his newer performances actually, matty. He's clearly on adrenaline overdrive when he performs now--and tries to channel all that nervous energy into performing. And sometimes when he gets that pumped up on adrenaline, I think he somewhat forgets how he's acting. But he's also clearly passionate about his music too and throws 100% effort into putting on good show. I think Em's biggest struggle these days is learning to dial himself back from overdrive. He needs to learn not to try so damn hard in everything he does. Although of course that can be a blessing and a curse. And I'm rambling, haha.
