aww - it’s really nice to see him again!
I actually like this pair - Ed seems like a good guy; he doesn’t name-drop Em or use him, and he just seems to enjoy the friendship/mentorship. Em probably picked Ed’s show as a thank-you for the hall of fame.

This is a man who looks relaxed and HEALTHY! Are we seeing the sun-kissed face, the bit of good weight, etc. people? 
I know people usually attribute mid-life crises to the 40's, but maybe Em wanted to/had to review his life, make some changes in all aspects, even with music. He has pushed himself so hard for so long and, I can't remember the song, but he said something to the effect of him thinking of different ways to rap about the same thing in a different way after being around so long. It might have been "Walk on Water?" I don't know.
All I know is that he poked his head out, looks healthy and is hopefully in a good headspace. I, too, am glad he has his family around. They are good people and people who care about HIM, not just themselves and what he can do for them. Maybe Alaina's wedding brought a lot of happiness and bonding.
I love this man, flaws and all. So genuine, humble and caring. <3

So genuine, humble and caring. <3 Bro has been vacationing in the sun so tanned and healthy looking And I think he’s been getting closer and his closer to his kids as adults the last 2-3 years like I think he always had a strong relationship with them but now that they are adults I think they are getting closer as friends in a way and for some reason I think there was a bit of tension maybe during their early 20s late teens while transitioning into adult hood and now they have their little unit I could be completely off and it’s just a hunch but either way Em seems to be WAY more happier the more we see them and ppl like Dre, 50 Ed etc team Em family tbh. They seem so genuinely happy for him and compare the interviews from revival and even 2010-2014. He seems more relaxed and more confident. And I like it’s not just business ppl circling him and fake friends. I feel like Em was outnumbered for a while and his family presence is squashing that. Idk like i said before hailie seems pretty blunt and a no nonsense kind of girl and Alaina seems to have a really big heart so I hope they continue to pop up and remind his team that Em has a family that loves him 😇 ppl can say what they want but at least hailie took her platform from Em and ran with it and being only 27 she’s building a little business and I don’t think ppl realize how hard that is to do even tho Ems her dad. She knows how to engage her audience which is half the battle and branch out slowly into things. She’s like Em where she understands psychology well imo jmo tho |

I think the kids supported him, but now that they are adults - it doesn’t have to be hidden as much, and agree it’s nice to see.
There were rumors a bit back about a possible August drop, so hopefully that’s true. Maybe he wanted a little sabbatical and then laid low until after the wedding, so Alaina got all the attention. If he put out music, etc., maybe he felt like he’d be on the radar again, so he waited until after the wedding.

I think the kids supported him, but now that they are adults - it doesn’t have to be hidden as much, and agree it’s nice to see. There were rumors a bit back about a possible August drop, so hopefully that’s true. Maybe he wanted a little sabbatical and then laid low until after the wedding, so Alaina got all the attention. If he put out music, etc., maybe he felt like he’d be on the radar again, so he waited until after the wedding. Yeah I probably worded that wrong inthink they always supported them and I’m sure he wanted to protect them but I just think they’ve gotten even closer as a adults and shit and can now be more active in shit especially being able to make their own decisions |

Instead of asking permission, you start asking for advice, appreciating what they did or didn't do. |

Instead of asking permission, you start asking for advice, appreciating what they did or didn't do. A good sign of a good parent is that the kids want to hang out with u as adults for sure |

But families always have their up and downs. Good times bad times. I think maybe at this point he just takes his time and shows up to what he wants when he wants. And he has earned it. Since he looked like he was enjoying himself this past weekend, it made me wonder. For what reasons do you think he doesn't do a few shows here and there? I know he doesn't want to tour, just a few shows. Do you think he can only handle a few songs now? Doesn’t want to do them? Maybe will do a few?
