I think you are 100% accurate! I do commend her for being able to keep it together it seems the pivotal times in the girls' lives. It's almost as if her and Eminem tag-teamed it: 2000-2004 he towed the line, 2004-2008 she was the stable parent, and they shared repsonsibility 2009-2015. But seems like since her sister passed in 2015-2016, she has been struggling again. Hopefully she has the support she needs, especially with a special needs child. Do you think she expected Em to take care of her son too? I think maybe yes, maybe no. I mean he took responsibility for Whitney, but not this kid? I hope his father is in his life and that is the reason Em doesn't step in as his dad. Bit it doesn't seem like it. I imagine Kim has a tremendous amount of guilt regarding her twin sister, like she didn't do enough. But she raised her sister's kids, which is more than enough. Kim needs to give herself some grace. It sounds like she's a good person trying to do the right thing, just sometimes she can't, you know what I mean? To be honest, I don't think her or Eminem put much thought behind what they did. Kind of like the rest of us really. Sometimes you go with what feels good and makes sense at the time. I honestly think her son's father was Eric Hartter, Stevie's father. The resemblance is uncanny! Also, supposedly Parker's dad died of an overdose in 2019. What are the odds of two of Kim's baby daddies dying the same year from the same thing? Plus, parental drug use can cause some forms of autism. Regarding Eminem taking guardianship of Stevie, I feel like he did that primarily as a deterrent from Eric Hartter coming around. No reason to come back if he is not the father. From my understanding Hartter did not relinquish/sign over his parental rights but Eminem had legal guardianship of Stevie as the husband of her legal parent, which is different than adoption. I don't think she just thought about it like, "Oh, Marshall will take care of my baby." I think it was more of, she is having another baby and she will provide the same way she has been. I'm sure his care is costly and probably one reason she downsized her home. I also suspect she is taking care of special needs kids for additional income. No proof, just a hunch based on it seeming like she has different special needs children in her home. I'm sure she does have guilt about her sister, but Dawn made bad choices and it caught up with her. But Kim was fortunate she had a partner with financial resources because I think she might have had the same fate as well as Eminem if they did not have his wealth. I agree 100%, she should give herself grace, because she helped to take care of Patrick and Adam as well. That is a lot for anyone, but especially for someone battling mental instability. |

Thanks but i have to say, i don't think he's kind to Kim only bc of the children (it might be a reason, but not just that)...the kids are adults and they saw and now understand their parents and their situations better and Em is usually kind, at least from what it's seems from this past years. And as for Kim, she has been good friends with a lot of families with kids who have autism or other disabilties for years. It's in her facebook page and also her friends' accounts. She doesn't take in special needs kids for extra income
