Well, that is not neccessarily true. People don't call Anderson Cooper a nepo baby, socialite or any of those things. Most people are not even aware he is a Vanderbilt or the son of Gloria Vanderbilt. Same with Kate Hudson, Lily Collins, Dakota Johnson, Zoe Kravitz, Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Miley Cyrus, and Bryce Howard all built names for themselves. Nepotism can get you in the door, but it does not have to be a career definer unless you let it. I feel like Hailie leans into her father's fame, from using his moniker on her podcast to showing up strategically at events with him after years of never being seen together. However, I don't bame Hailie for doing that. Matter of fact it makes sense because he spoke about ehr so much. What's lame is her putting it out there that she wants to eb her own person and having more to offer and not wanting to always be connected to her dad, yet doing the exact opposite. I think that is where a lot of the criticism comes from. It seems disingenuous. I feel like she received less of this negative feedback when she didn't ahve the podcast. She was very favorable with her Insta and TikTok platforms. I really think peopel built up this image of what she was like from Eminem's music and seeing her on her platform was disappointing for some people. I think that happens often with celebrotoes. People build them up in their mind and then try to tear them down. It's lame, but it comes with it. Ok, I have a genuine question about this and I'm not trying to start anything. For real, just curiosity because I feel like I don't have all the facts... Hailie named her podcast after her dad, yes, but has she done anything else to highlight that she's Em's daughter? Do you guys think if she named her podcast something else, would that make it better? The RRHOF appearance made sense because a lot of the artists getting inducted bring their spouses and kids. And the Lions games also kinda make sense since she is really into football and Em is really into football so it's like a family thing. And the Lions were on fire last season. I get why she would be there with him, along with the other girls and his bro, etc. Also, I see that she goes to his shows and stuff, which also kinda makes sense? Right? She's supporting her dad! The Houdini video appearance was amazing, one of the highlights imo, and she didn't go on socials after like "look at me guys in my dad's new video!". She didn't even mention it. Temporary comes out and she doesn't say anything either. I listen to her podcast here and there and she never really talks about him. Again, I am genuinely curious and I don't want to make anyone upset. I feel like I am missing a piece of the puzzle here. I actually think it’s a very cute name, but she had to know by naming it that people were going to associate her with her father. If she wanted a clean break she should have had something completely different. I agree, there’s no reason she can’t talk about her point of view going to the Super Bowl or going to the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame without naming her dad. We all know she went, so she could say “yeah, I went and I met blah blah blah. I did this so I wore this outfit.” The fact that she completely doesn’t say anything makes it weird. she is extremely careful because she wants her private life private and that’s cool, but she wants some of the perks of being not private I guess? I mean, if that’s the case, she should just go host a TMZ show or access Hollywood type show. all your successful podcasts have a theme… interesting guest

Again, I am genuinely curious and I don't want to make anyone upset. I feel like I am missing a piece of the puzzle here. Oh, I love the conversation no worries at all. I actually think if she would have named her podcast something like "Hailie Beauty and Baubles" or "Michigan Gossip Girl" people would be less inclined to be so rude. I mean if the title straight up has nothing to do with him, people would be assanine to be all up in her ocmments asking for content about him. If you look at her TikTok comments, she doesnt get as much of that and more peopel talking about her how-tos. To be honest, it would make more sense to say congrats to my dad for the RRHOF, everyone knew she was there. It also wouldn't be weird to address her being mentioned in his music. I think to know you have a legion of fans following you who are 90% from your dad, you would share those things in a genuine way, if that makes sense. f course she is not obligated, but stay clear of using your dad's brand then, is all I'm saying. I actually love her beauty tips and thought the podcast was going to be promising, but she sold the podcast as simething it is not, pure and simple. I say this as someone who actually watched a lot of it the first season. In her title she literally is saying I'm the little shady then she title posts like "My sister's gone crazy", things that evoke imagery of her dad. I mean it's not even subtle sometimes. RRHOF did make sense, but I was curious why was she his only family to attend, then she comes back to her podcast and talks about how papparazi chased her and she did not understand why. Like come on girl! First of all, since there was only one publication snap of her (Just Jared), odds are it was leaked to them that she would be there. It's not like, "Hey Hailei Scott, Eminem's daughter will be in town, let's stalk her for a pic." Her own Michigan press does not even stalk her. A good example of someone who is genuine about her show, and I hate to keep bringing her up is Lil Wayne's daughter. She gave it a unique name and she has built her own following, even though she mentions her dad and he makes an appearance her and there. She gets flack sometimes too like once for her birthday it was a HUGE bash and no Lil Wayne. Fans were like, how is your dad not at your birthday party. She broke it down and was like does your dad want to hang out with you and your 20-something friends, and do you even want him to? That shut them down right away. Liek she's so open and you need that for a podcast. So if she is not comfortable talking about dad, then avoid any reference of him unless absolutely necessary. Definitely don't give your podcast his name. Prime example how important a name is, Eminem is suing the real Housewives for the podcast "Reasonable Shady" because he believe it will associate them to him and his brand. Same thing with what Hailie is INTENTIONALLY doing. It's cool, if she is going to go with that theme. But I take no offense at all. I totally see where your questions come from and they are vallid quanderies.

It’s her literal dad. He said she used to go on tour with him when she was a kid, she’s always gone to his shows, been on video sets, photo shoots, been to sports games together. Nothing she’s doing now is particularly new, just now she’s an adult and people are watching her, so they feel a need to comment. I clearly said it's not about her using his name its about her not liking peopel t associate and ask about him all the time. I feel like she invite dthat by using the moniker. If she wanted to distance herself, chose a differnet name. I literally said it makes sense for her to use it, but doens't make sense to not want his fans t want cntent about him and her.

TMZ wuld be great for her on the live segment. But she would actually have to really do some work with a ful time job, but she would probably be great as a reporter-at-large or freelancer. Plus, she can't sell the "Shady" merch to his fans at a job like that. But she probably could get a heft freelancer fee just being a celeb's kid.

Em said himself that while he wanted to raise them as normal as possible , he also wanted them to have the life he didn’t growing up. That is exactly what is happening and I don’t know why some get so worked up over it. I’m not saying she is perfect but she really doesn’t do anything wrong. Nepo baby stuff is weird as well. Her dad is Eminem so no matter what she does they will always say it’s because of her dad. Well, that is not neccessarily true. People don't call Anderson Cooper a nepo baby, socialite or any of those things. Most people are not even aware he is a Vanderbilt or the son of Gloria Vanderbilt. I don't get the fuss about her using his dad's name and fame when he literally put her out there from the moment she was born. Is she gonna have a normal life? Of course no, no way she can use her degree and work as a child psychologist which was her intention. There is no escaping being the daughter of.... , I think she can do whatever she wants, she's not an obnoxious nepo baby she hardly posts when she is not working with her podcast she seems down to earth I don't know why people are so obsessed with her career choices, she will probably stop when she has a baby, she is not fame oriented otherwise she would have done everything differently.

Right! It’s so fucking weird to me. If you follow her because she’s eminems daughter, then that’s on you, not her. Her career choices are hers to make. The podcast is Hailie and her best friend talking about what’s popular at the minute, exactly what she said it would be, and the same as what lots of podcasts are these days. She’s not trying to do anything revolutionary. It’s her attempt for people to see her as a person and not just as the little girl their favourite rapper talks about. It’s not her fault that grown ass people don’t understand basic boundaries. You don’t know this girl. You don’t know her dad. Stop talking to her like you grew up with her, because you listened to mockingbird, it’s not normal. The level of entitlement people have over the choices she makes is absolutely fucking ridiculous. Why does it matter to them so much? She doesn’t owe you money, so why do you care so much about how much she makes? It’s clearly a temporary thing, which is absolutely fine. She has the money and stability to make it something she enjoys, and if that isn’t something you enjoy, then don’t watch it, it’s really not that hard. There’s literally no need to sit and bitch about it. If you’re just watching and waiting for her to talk about her dad, then follow his fan pages, I’m sure they’ll repost it.

If they don't like people openly speaking their opinion, they can keep it moving and not read the posts. It's ironic also that people go hard to say people shouldn't criticize her content when that is exactly what she does on her platform to other celebrities. As adults, we should be mature enough to hear other people's opinions and not take it personally, because we DON'T know these people.

If truly passive aggressive, I ignore those comments. You male a good point. I typically ignore the passive aggressive peeps too. But other people's posts seldom annoy me, only if I feel much thought didn't take much thought. I'm stuck home with Covid too! Poo!

I don’t even give all of that a second thought, I love seeing her with him after the way he spoke about her in songs throughout the years, it’s so wholesome. The ONLY issue(not really an issue) I had was her naming the podcast after her dad when she knew what type of audience it would attract when she clearly wants to branch out as herself. She should’ve just made her own “brand” full stop. To me it seemed as though she was gonna kind of be like her dad but it’s nothing close. I feel the podcast may have done better if she named it different and people knew that going in it was going to be something different as it only attracted stans who were then like “oh 🙃” and then just gradually stopped listening. Also I don’t get the merchandise drops, they’re usually for big names or viral things, but I guess if someone buys it then she makes money. But yeah, just business things really that don’t bother me that much tbh lol, just things I side eye lol. I liked the exercise content too, she just needs to follow through with the things she starts to gain the type of audience she wants.

She/they shouldn't have called podcast the way she/they did, the connotations and subconscious expectations are to big, I'm writing too big on purpose from probably two-thirds of viewers/listener, because the person who is originally attached to the name of the podcast and the person who deliberately uses that name to attract the masses( that was the main guiding thought at the beginning ), are from two different worlds. First was in front of everyone, and the second one,..., to put it that way, is trotting for everyone. She/they did not offer anything striking, he goes down in the annals as G.O.A.T.! This name seems too much for two naive girls, who play around and don't care too much about anything in their lives. He tried it, in that literal, unadulterated marginal form that exhausts you. Name of the podcast and the topics they cover do not go hand in hand at all. Basically, they screwed up with that name! Doesn't matter that she was mentioned in songs and went to matches, that over, now it's not about the songs, her life ,but about the podcast/business, monthly income. She/they attracted, viewers/listeners, but only at the beginning, the amplitude drops and does not increase, she/they have to change it! They should have another name more appropriate to themselves, topics they cover and the times they live in! I don't mean to say that it would increase the viewership (maybe yes, maybe not), but it certainly wouldn't create that kind of pressure to constantly call her name and expectat certain family members to appear with her in studio. If she means to do that, great, but if not..., example; twitter has also changed name, if small things can be compared to big things!
