Interesting topic Hailie brought up… They were talking about marriage and changing last names but Hailie says how she has no clue where hers came from. So question is where did Kathy get Scott from if it wasn’t Kim’s bio dads last name? From what I looked up Kathys father wasn’t a Scott neither was her mom they are of Polish background. Didn't Eminem's mother say that Kim didn't let Marshall sign Hailie's birth certificate because she didn't get her father's name so she didn't see why Hailie should have Marshall's name. So maybe Scott is her mother's maiden name. Wasn't she married a couple of times. Maybe Kim's mother's last name is a married name and Scott is her maiden name? Yeah, and I think when they got married they let the kids keep Scott so it wouldn’t draw as much attention as Mathers |

I have to say I find it very interesting how it’s very clear in all episodes Hailie can’t stand cheating and seems to judge people who cheat (she said it straight out) and is all about “truth is truth” and how truth will always come out and people will get hurt.
Wonder if it has something to do with her childhood? Or doesshe know her parents at all lol? They seem to have been pretty good at hiding drama from their kids I must say!
But then if they hid it, she is still one of Em’s top listeners on spotify, and he raps about cheating a lot! How do those songs make her feel? Or are they just songs and she knows it? I have had a hard time with some of them just from being cheated on before and the songs kinda bring back the pain. And for me he’s a random guy on another continent (well maybe he’s a bit more lol) but it’s her dad!

I feel like the girls were very sheltered from Em and Kim’s drama and I applause them for doing an awesome job at that cause I remember my parents drama very clearly. I’m sure Em and even Kim also talked to the kids as they got older and cleared up some things about the past with them cause I’m sure they had questions as teens and they know more of the truth then we’ll ever know.

I feel like the girls were very sheltered from Em and Kim’s drama and I applause them for doing an awesome job at that cause I remember my parents drama very clearly. I’m sure Em and even Kim also talked to the kids as they got older and cleared up some things about the past with them cause I’m sure they had questions as teens and they know more of the truth then we’ll ever know. Agree, they have done an amazing job and really managed to protect their children! |

They made sure to be a tight family no matter what and that’s what the kids knew. Not to many parents can do that after divorcing and two times at that! |

I am thunking since Hailie decided to major in psychology she has a pretty fair idea about her family drama and dynamics. That is probably why she does hate cheating because I am sure that was at the chore of what caused so much strife in their marriage. My goodness Marshall knocked a guy out because he saw Kim kissing him in a parking lot and Marshall's exploits are in books and on blogs. They are human and no one can tell me these girls didn't Google their parents. And, kids in school can be cruel. I am sure their classmates heard their own parents gossip or see something online about Marshall and Kim and went and shared what they learned with Hailie, Alaina, and Stevie. Also why I don't get how they were able to hide from Stevie that Marshall was not her bio dad. SMH |

First Stevie not knowing she was adopted by EM and now Hailie not knowing where her last name comes from lmao. Did the kids just never ask their parents any questions growing up or did Em and Kim just brush them off? I have so many questions...
I really thought the podcast would have a lot more thought provoking conversations, but instead it's mostly just about tik tok and casual convo. I wish her luck but I don't see this really taking off much.

His area was affected, and in 8 mile he drank tap water… but if Hailie doesn’t drink tap water, maybe he doesn’t either? But she makes ice of it…

I feel like Kim's family just had so much upheaval and people coming and going, kids being raised by people other than their parents, foster care, multiple marriages, that there probably isn't a super clear picture. I still think Scott was a good idea for Hailie, though. I know everyone in her school and a lot of people in the community knew who she was, but being signed up for kid's stuff, appointments, eventually signing receipts as Hailie Mathers at the coffee shops and salons and wherever else she went to...it would have drawn a lot of attention to her imo.
I wonder if she gets recognized more that she's an influencer.
I like her. I don't really pay attention to the podcast...not because it's bad, I'm just not interested in the subject matter (though I am curious about the animal talk, what happened?). I respect that she doesn't act like a snobby heiress. All the kids seem normal. I do worry a little bit about Stevie. Hopefully they just went through normal teen angst. I like Kim too. I don't hold being an addict and having mental health issues against her. A lot of people struggle. It doesn't mean she isn't an exhausting, draining person. But Em and Kim broke the cycle together, I believe that.
