Probably he looks at it like I do my college partying....like "I was such an idiot but damn I had fun."
And probably wishes Proof could have seen him grow up, get sober, raise the girls etc. I feel like his life can be divided into Proof and After Proof.

And probably wishes Proof could have seen him grow up, get sober, raise the girls etc. I feel like his life can be divided into Proof and After Proof. I miss proof so much for him man proof seemed to understand Em before he understood himself. And it seems even before fame but especially now it’s really hard for Em to be comfortable around ppl and it’s so easy to take advantage of him cuz he didn’t come from a solid family. Most rappers have at least a mom to depend on…not 50 tho-maybe that’s why they relate to each other so much. Both really just had themselves to depend on Royce has his brother, mom, dad, wife etc… Em really shot to fame with no one. As an adult now I’m realizing how big of an impact that had to have on him and why he was so defensive of him and proofs friendship. I lost my mom at 15 and I never had a strong relationship with my dad (tho not near as bad as em and his mom) so I semi get that feeling of feeling u all u have. And tie that situation in with becoming super rich and famous and jealous coming in? idk man. I get why he is so private and distant to ppl. It seems like the common denominator between Ems artists is that they get upset when Em doesn’t just become besties with them after they sign but that’s not Ems job (Conway just mentioned it on the breakfast club). I’m sure he is terrified of getting hurt again. The less the better especially after SH idk that video of proof and Em where proof was like “Em is making his own family..his immediate family…” said it all to me 🥺 |

Probably Denaun, too, maybe the other D12 members even though he doesn't seem to talk to them frequently, but I know I have friends I go long spells not talking to them when we connect, it's like we just picked up where we left off. |
