This album is going to suck ass
Royce of course if name dropping Em all over this live and said he doesn’t know if Em is working on an album but Em supposivly called him to listen to new music a few days ago which would fall into the Denaun timeline
I’m over it. And sad. Also Royce just flat out lied about so many things in like ten mins it’s ridiculous
Legit the worst thing that ever happened to Em to me as a fan is his relationship to Royce. It’s not fun anymore. It’s just gross and they are going to use Em and destroy him and it’s just nasty.
And of course he is backing up game again. Waiting for him to use Em to get in the news again. Half this interview is Royce just trying to clear up his rep with em.

I believe he had sth almost finished but scrapped it out and now he's trying other stuff. Who knows with this man?? |

I don't think there will be much fast rapping on the new album. Of the recent features he only did that on the Cordae song and I'm pretty sure that was recorded at the same time as the Killer remix. The bad response to that remix may scare him away from rippity rap stuff. And I don't know how close he is to Royce these days or how much he'll be involved in the project.

So he's posted twice this week. SNL. And the TES extended edition is coming Thursday. So I wonder if something could be coming Friday. Might just be the Elvis song but maybe a new album, there's been a lot of activity on his friend's social media.

I took the release of the TES Extended Edition as a dry run for his next album release. If so, I like that they announced it a couple days in advance to give fans a chance to prepare. They did a good job with the social media posts the day of release. Presumably they'll have a music video as well with the album so that helps. I still think they'd have to do a little bit more. Post about it everyday of the first week. Maybe some interviews by Marshall.

I also hope he will do a little more promo for his next album, sales wise he's still doing great. But he's becoming more hermit as years go by. For Revival he gave several interviews and he did sign copies of the album for fans in Detroit.

Beyonce's album is coming out July 29th. So some possible opportunities for Eminem to put his album out between now and then. Makes his decision to release King and I at noon more interesting.

First week success is trickier in the streaming era. Awareness of the album's release needs to be high. I do think he has an advantage of having some more older fans that might buy a digital copy. I think the rollout for TES: Expanded Edition and The King and I was a good test run for the lead up for a release. |
