EM strikes me as being such a germaphobe I'm sure he's sanitizing down every surface of his studio if he hasn't moved in there already!

At least in 2001 he didn’t bother washing his hands after using the restroom so... 😷 And the way they were joking in some interview about how disgusting the carpets in the studio are, and how they haven’t thrown them out, even tho they know they contain “all kinds of different liquids and body fluids after all these years”, he doesn’t sound like the most hygienic person to me. But let’s hope that has changed and that you’re right! 🛁 |

LOL! One can only hope... That interview is recent tho! If I remember correctly it’s a shade45 interview, can’t exactly remember which one, but it’s not that old. But post overdose interview! But I don’t think that’s what his OCD is about, he’s always said it’s about his music or workouts. I also found this in an interview where he talks about his OCD: I: Is that a self-diagnosed OCD, or has a doctor actually said you have OCD? E: It’s self-diagnosed. I could cop out and say it’s from music, but it’s not that. Once I got sober, I started noticing shit about myself. Like, if I ran on the treadmill, if I had it in my mind that I needed to burn 500 calories, I hit that exact number. Part of me wonders, “Do I do it because I’m OCD or because I don’t want to be a quitter?” But then I sit there fucking with the drums on the mixing board for two hours, going, “Fuck, that snare is not right.” Now, I don’t know if it was always there and it was just always repressed with drugs. I: Are you OCD about cleanliness? You need your house to be just right? E: Not really. I: So maybe you don’t have it. E: I don’t know if any other rapper is going, “Yo, we need a .1 dB up on that high hat” — that’s, like, the least amount of decibels you can go. Most people probably would not even hear a dB. But I’m sitting there: “No, it’s gotta have the exact right relationship with the snare and vocals.” That’s where I get carried away. Someone’s gotta literally come pry the fucking album from my fingers, because I’m still tweaking. And probably no one hears the difference. |

I hope you’re right! He’s never struck me as a hygienic person (no offense Em, I still love you to death, lol) but maybe that at the same time has boosted his immune system! All that matters is he’s safe in all this chaos!

I didn’t mean for you to take everything so serious, was just trying to have a chill conversation about Em... 95% of my coworkers basically think we’re all gonna die within march, the rest 5% literally reported us to the safety team and big bosses for HAVING COFFEE in the coffee room... so just trying to escape my coworkers I thought discussing Em would help, but just feeling misunderstood and misinterpreted makes you kinda wanna give up that discussion too. |
