Damn! I'm glad he did that. I wonder what's going to happen next.

Damn! I'm glad he did that. I wonder what's going to happen next. Well, it depends on if he really did apologize. But I think he obviously forfeited the battle by removing the diss from his Instagram. According to that diss, it claims it was done in the spirit of hip hop and to reignite his rap. It's probably should be noted the diss is still on his YouTube, though.

Why did he delete it tho? There are a couple of theories. Some people said a fan account made the apology and not Melle Mel. The other theory is that Stans were so mean about the apology and saying they don't buy it and that Eminem shouldn't except is what made him remove it. Unfortunately, now some fans of hip hop who are not Stans are going after Em's fans by saying things like, if you can't forgive Melle Mel after he apologized for that diss, why should we forgive Eminem for things he has said, and of course some are bringing up "Foolish Pride" again. I swear, that song is going to haunt his legacy forever. A fan even made a rap to defend Melle Mel. It's getting so messy. But the saddest part is Melle Mel is just hating on Eminem because it's Eminem. He has hated on Tupac and other exceptional rappers. Yet he likes Macklemore and even did a song with him. Make it make sense! He is just using Eminem being White because he knows that annoys Eminem when people bring up him being White, which is ironic because that was one of the things they used in the beginning, to promote him. But I digress, people need to stop coming after Eminem if they can't really compete. I think light-hearted battles are good, but there are so many ways to diss Eminem and never having to bring up his ethnicity.

Lol missy84 and thisman85 you can listen to a 5-minute preview here: www.patreon.com/Beyondtheblinds. The guy is comparing him to a drag queen (which all performers have an entertainer's persona-this is not new) and the girl is talking about analyzing his lyrics against women and pop artists. It's peaked my curiosity. I might pay the $5 to listen and chime in. Darn Gen Z'ers they haven't learned their lesson yet!

Ok- so I listened to the preview for free and have no interest in paying the $5 to listen to more. it irritates me to no end people, specifically younger millenials, who think they have some great insight on the world, when in reality they are just showing their ignorance and lack of education. You can pretty much tell when they stopped teaching art and art history/appreciation in school based on the age of people spouting nonsense. 1. Eminem is a drag queen like RuPaul because he created this persona of himself called Slim Shady. Really? So I guess Quentin Tarantino was really perfoming drag, like RuPaul, when he created the characters Jules Winfield and Vincent Vega. Or Stephen King was just channeling his Trixie Mattel when he created Pennywise and Jack Torrance? Slim Shady is a character Em created to tell stories through. It really isn't any deeper than that. Something I have always thought was obvious. But I actually understand art and character creation. 2. His horrible lyrics against women. Those of us that have followed Em and are huge fans and over the age of 20 can understand that the world is full of bitches and assholes. Some women (not all) are bitches and some men (not all) are assholes. Critisizing some women is not the same as critizising all women. Just like criticising horrible men is not the same as critizing all men. The female pod host talks about how ALL of Em's song are against women. Actually most of his diss songs are against other guys. He had so many feuds going with other dudes that you lost count. I think someone has selective outrage. 3. Em sang in Mockingbird and could have been part of a boy band? Huh? I love Em but he can't carry a tune. He needs to stick with rapping. And the only reason he dissed boy bands was because he was jealous they got all the attention from VMA's and he didn't. WTF? NOT EVEN CLOSE!! He dissed boy bands because the media kept referring to him as the lead singer of his band and/or a pop star. D12 even has a song called "My Band" that makes fun of this. And he wanted to been taken seriously as a MC and not be lumped in with popstars. So this podcast is a hard no for me. These are two people who clearly lack any in depth knowledge of Em or art or the history of hip hop and the role he played.
