According to Debbie she started dating Fred Samra in 1979, and she said he was the guy that was the most stable dad figure in Em's life, but then when she got pregnant with Nate in 85 he all of a sudden left or something. And I don't remember who had that pic somewhere, Em or Debbie, but that's supposed to be Nate's dad according to them ??
Debbie was dating Fred for a long time. He first left a bit after Em was beaten up that badly. I think it was something about him not being able to handle that situation with Marshall being "sick". He came back after some time and Debbie got pregnant. Not sure if he left again during the pregnancy or when Nate already been Born.
I always wondered why Nate didn't go live with his dad when he was in foster care. |

Either he didn't want to take care of him or they thought he isn't a fit parent

It probably was a pretty hard time in Em's life. It can be traumatic to get siblings, especially if you're a bit older, I've read, and Em seemed to be a bit jealous of Debbie taking in foster kids when he was little, so I could imagine it was pretty traumatic for him to lose his step dad and get a new little brother. I know Em loves Nate but back then getting used toanew brother. I think Em might have been a bit hesitant when he first heard the news (and I think he was joking about wanting a dinosaur instead), but according to Debbie--and Em, I believe--Em quickly warmed up to the idea and was excited when Nate was born. I mean, he was 13 when Nate was born--not a toddler; I can't really see him getting jealous of a new baby at that age really. Plus he was helping care for Nate right away--changing diapers, giving bottles, etc. Debbie says Em was a wonderful big bro and helped out with Nate a lot. Their neighbors have said the same thing about Em and his relationship with Nate. As to Nate's dad, I think there's a whole lot we don't know about him. I doubt he was a good parent, given the fact Nate was sent to foster homes instead of with him. Plus Nate doesn't even use his dad's last name. |

Actually one of my favorites; it was like the third song I ever heard by Em that helped to hook me in, lol. I'm just so tired of all the Eminem non-news. Like nada new news since last year. |
