A lot of people say Farewell is really also about Em’s drug problem, just like Never Love Again. E.g. in 2006 Em’s drug problem got really bad and ‘flipped his life around’. He just put a twist on it to make it sound like a romantic relationship 🤷🏼♀️

This is the song that Em sampled for Farewell.👌👌🥂 This song is a bop! Em has good taste in music! This original song is good dancehall. I wonder how Em even heard about it or did one of the producers have it already and Em did his thing. The original song and farewell pretty much share the same sentiments. That’s My same question!😅It seems like he liked it cause he even included a snippet of the original at the end of the song. And he also helped to produce it! Farewell is produced By Ricky Racks & Eminem 👌🤗

For all we know its just a song (with no underlying meaning) that he wrote and made it similar to the sample. Unlike Never Love Again the lyrics clearly equate to it being about a love/hate relationship (not saying it has to be about "her") with the exception of a few lines like the 06 part. Someone on genius said maybe he meant 69 lmao

When I read it there I was trying to make since of it in my head like how does 06 upside down and 90 mean 69. We know Emzy is a slut

Well NLA is a metaphorical song and it can be interpreted wherever you like, but he also hinted that it might be about the same person cause Eminem’s friend don’t like her and Royce’s wife even threw shade one time. Em says’ my friends say you are not good for me.”
And His mom wrote a book where she clearly stated “she is a habit he can’t quit.”
And Em says in Never love again “ you are my habit, the cause of my pain and my medicine.”
So, the song can be interpreted as a song about addiction, but he also gave us 2 hints that is about a person; but obviously he doesn’t want to make it too obvious.

Oh Em
I like what someone else said earlier he seems to recycle the same topics every album drugs, making fun of something, groupies and Kim. This could be one of those recycled topics but I will admit even if he one day gets the woman of his dreams I like hearing about how him and Kim are doing. He let us in so much it would be weird not to hear a song about her.

Every line in NLA can be drugs, once you realize that it’s clear Flipping tables to look for pills Took your top off (unscrewed a bottle) when I was on you (on pills) His friends didn’t like him on drugs He only has you (the drugs) because if his financials (money) Wrapped in Saran rap (pills are the only thing that makes sense) He’s done the same thing using hip hop as the twist, but once you realize drugs it’s really clear But with Farewell, it’s definyely about a woman

Yup. He’s basically giving the same content Probably because not too much in his life is changing. Like, he made a club song admitting it’s just remembering about his club days He talks about whatever he’s going through, and he hasn’t had too many wild new experiences it seems.

If you listen to or read the lyrics it’s clear NLA is about drugs, and even at the end you can hear him throw the pills in the toilet and flush them

I can only imagine how many women he was picking up in 98-99
I had to go back to Jenny's book because I know she probably lied a little but her book is looking to be more truthful as Em tells us more. She said he was meeting women at clubs and having strippers at house parties (ofcourse it was just flings though.)

Yes, you are right! NLA has a double meaning.
Another question: in Accommodating in one line he mentions directly and openly the name he is not supposed to say anymore but he said it anyway.🤷🏿♀️😱 But do you think he meant Kim Kardashian’s??

Em usually talks about her by throwing subliminals but Bad Husband is the first time he's actually mentioned her by name since the divorce.
