After listening to his songs about his family I can tell he is a family guy and misses to see his family reunited. That’s the impression what I got from him. I personally want him to settle down and have another kid instead of dating strippers. I liked this part of this interview. It’s good that he and Kim are in good terms again. But please don’t ruin it!!!🤣 Yeah, though maybe I’d use a different word than ridiculous. There’s some dissonance hearing you — in the space of a couple tracks — go from trying to be good-faith woke about race and politics to being rough about women. Do those poles just coexist more peacefully for you than they do for me? Em: They do, and how you think those things go together depends on what kind of fan of my music you are. Sometimes I’m trying to appease people who think, Man, I miss when Eminem was raw. But I’m not killing Kim(Kim Scott, Eminem’s ex-wife (the couple were twice-married and twice-divorced) and the mother of his daughter, Hailie, makes frequent cameos in his lyrics as a kind of negative muse. After the release of Eminem’s “Kim” in 2000, she sued him for defamation. on songs anymore — we’re good now, and she’s the mother of my daughter. The truth is that going from one subject to a completely different one is a balancing act and I’m trying to give something to everyone. And as far as the attitude I have about those different subjects, I feel like I did when first I started out OK, I am asking because I know someone here can give me another way to look at this.... the little girl in me that was raised by a stepdad is crying right now ....why isn't he mentioning his other two girls, the two he has claimed for over a decade now? He only calls out Hailie by name on the songs and now in this interview states "She's the mother of my daughter" not daughters...... I know I am probably looking too much into this and it is something as simple as he couldn't get anything to rhyme right with Alaina or Whitney LOL and the interview was just a misprint and his said daughters...

I know I am probably looking too much into this and it is something as simple as he couldn't get anything to rhyme right with Alaina or Whitney LOL and the interview was just a misprint and his said daughters... I was actually wondering about this as well. I don't know, this album kinda seemed like he had a few 'get things off his chest' songs. It's like he's explaining the past and his past songs to Hailie, but he's doing it in a way where he kinda continues the story of the song where he left it back in 00-02, if that makes sense? He didn't mention Alaina much back then and Whitney wasn't even born back thrn. He hasn't really mentioned Whitney much after that either. So I don't know, maybe if he mostly only mentioned Hailie back then, he only mentions her now too. Like he talked sbout her back then so his fans already know about her, but maybe people aren't as familiar with his other daughters, unless they're hardcore fans? So maybe he doesn't wanna pull them into the spotlight now either? I mean I have no idea. He does say "girls" on the album, as in plural, lol. But yeah, a bit weird he only mentions Hailie. But I do know that there were people in 2010 still that didn't even know about Whitney, so maybe they have more privacy than Hailie, and he doesn't wanna ruin that? No idea. But one thing that's for sure is he loves all his girls, no doubt!

EM mentions his "daughters" in the NPR interview. Also, as we all know, Hailie is his only biological daughter and I'm sure she holds that special spot in EMs heart. And, Alaina considers EM more of an uncle so I don't know if she even calls him "dad," though I am sure Whitney does as he has co-raised her straight from the beginning. One thing is for sure...No matter who EM mentions he loves them all!

Just to go back to the question, though: Are the emotions you feel making music different than they were 20 years ago?
They’re the same. The passion is the same, and when that changes — and eventually it will — is probably when it’s time to call it quits. I’m still at the place where I want to lock myself in the house for two days straight and just write. I don’t know when that’ll change. I remember I had a conversation with Busta Rhymes when he came to Detroit and we did “Calm DownBoth known for their near-impossible word-per-minute rapping, Eminem and Busta Rhymes collaborated on “Calm Down” in 2014. From Eminem’s dense verse: “Son of God, I’m the S.O.G / Like a wet log, pores never get clogged / ’cause I’m so full of self-esteem that I sweat fog.” ” together. He and I were talking about what you do when you get to a certain age — which maybe people never expected you to get to — and you still feel like you’ve got it. What do you do? I think you just keep going.
How close to the peak of your capabilities do you think you are right now? I think I remember reading something Bob Dylan said about how in the mid-’60s the music flowed from him in a way it never really did after. He could still find inspiration, but not quite like in those days. I know this is a corny way of putting it, but do you feel like you’re as close to the fire as you’ve always been?
In some ways yes and in some ways no. I will say this: I am forever chasing The Marshall Mathers LPReleased in 2000, Eminem’s third album is home to some of his most aggressive, creative, violent, popular, controversial, and best work. It’s the album that prompted Lynne Cheney to condemn him on the Senate floor, and has sold more than 11 million copies. In 2013, Eminem released a sequel album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2. . That was the height of what I could do. I just don’t have the rage I did back then. If I did, the music would be the same, and I hope it’s changed. And if I still had that rage it would mean I wouldn’t have grown as an artist or a human being. Technically I feel like I’m better at rhyming than I’ve ever been. I have more shit in my arsenal. I’ll go back and listen to old songs and be like, “I could have kept that rhyme scheme going for another 62 bars.” I don’t know, man. I’m not the person I was at 28. The passion is still there but the rage mostly isn’t.
I like these answers. I hope he keeps going.

I guess it is the social worker in me that wonders these things. But with the recent attention again on Hallie's picture I often wonder if she resents that her sisters get to reap the lifestyle Ems celebrity brings them all but do not have to deal as much with the public attention and judgement that Hailie deals with. I thought that when I seen this awful thread on lipstick Alley about Hallie's birthday party picture. A lot of people were saying she is pretty but there were others attacking her saying she appears to have taken after her mom or JaRules daughter is prettier. I was like dang the girl just put up a picture for her birthday, let her live!

I skipped the Lipstick Alley thread because they are vicious and hate Em to begin with, but most of the sites that have her pic have horrible comments about Hailie and her pic. But she is the one who put the provocative pic up looking for attention. And Kim never dressed provocatively...but yeah I've been reading the same thing. That's why I stopped. I hope Kim didn't read see the comments about Hailie. That can't be good for her mental health.

I swear I don't know why I keep visiting that site! I didn't think of it that way though Hallie posting knowing it would get out even if it was to those "fan pages" they have of the girls. That is why I enjoy this forum someone can always give me another way to view something 😊

I don´t know, I guess they all get the spotlight in their city and maybe not so much out of it but Hailie, I don´t think she cares tho. And I like to see their pictures now and then to see how much they´re grown, I don´t follow them or nothing like that and when I see a picture is just because it pop up somewhere so I don´t now what picture of her birthday you´re talking about
