So apparently Em said
"But if i'm talking to all of you, you're gonna love it when i'm back"
right after his performance at the EMAs, when he was disappearing with the stage into the floor.
I've been looking at his performance I recorded, over and over and it actually does sound like he's saying that!

Music yeah, his appearance though, of course not, him not wearing that makeup has nothing to do with us, it's not like that was a constant thing that he was doing for years, he still wears the Kangol and covers his face. I think the kangol and hoodie, covering his face, is the outcome for the criticism about his appearance. I do think it has something to do with him being insecure with his appearances, not necessairly because of the critics I doubt he goes that much on social media but maybe more him seing photos of himself on stage, seeing himself aging, I can't imagine how it feels seeing yourself aging publicly. It's already hard enough for a lot of people to see themselves on photos/videos... even when we are "young and beautiful". If I'm correct, he asked for complete control of his photos at concert at some point, right? That's what makes me think it is actually himself who's not a fan of seeing bad picture of him (like a lot of other celebrities though). I don't think hidding his face was part of his trademark, he wasn't covering himself like that when he came back during Relapse/Recovery. Even during MMLP2, he had his blond hair off for interviews but in action (during shows) it's harder to control how you look. But I also think it's part of him being protected in his bubble. If that pattern continue he might be wearing a veil for the next album  |

Loved how he was so calm during the EMA performance, but as soon as Skylar's part started he ran to the side to shake hands with fans

I recorded the EMAs and I've been watching Em's performance probably a million times by now, I just love it. I also love the song and have listened to the audio a million times. Anyone else bothered by how Beyonce and Skylar sing the chorus differently. Like Skylar changed the lyrics a bit. Beyonce sings "been making my mistakes oh if you only knew" and Skylar sings: "been making mistakes oh if you only knew" I don't know, the rhythm just changes like how fast you sing those words. Now I've learned to sing along, no matter who sings the chorus, but before I really knew what they were singing I was so confused, just when I learned one chorus, the other singer sang something different, lol. Oh well, small parenthesis  |
